FHFA Extends Foreclosure and Eviction Moratorium
The Federal Housing Finance Agency has announced an extension of its moratorium on foreclosures and evictions. The moratorium, applicable to enterprise-backed, single-family mortgages, was due to expire on June 30, 2020. The extension will run until at least August 31, 2020, and the FHFA will continue to monitor the coronavirus situation and update its policies as needed.
