So honored to welcome our dear Archbishop Hebda to school today! He celebrated our all-school Mass on this Feast of Saint Agnes and stayed after to enjoy brunch and conversation with some of our seniors.  #HappyFeastDay #GoAggies

Another "Appealing" Outcome for Mock Trial
Our Mock Trial Team (representing the State of MN) took home another 16-point win against Rosemount! 🙌🏆🔨 Devon Selmon ‘22 was awarded the outstanding attorney award, and Hillary Thach ‘22 was awarded the outstanding witness award from the other team. Only two more regional rounds to go! #GoAggies

Car Raffle Update
Great news - we have sold just under $70,000 in tickets for the car raffle! As our only required school fundraiser, make sure to get your tickets sold and turned into the main office by Friday, January 31. If you would like to sell more tickets, those can be picked up in the Main Office as well. As a reminder, this is our only required school fundraiser and all money raised stays right here at Saint Agnes!  Visit the links for more information, or ple ase contact Mrs. Laurie Weyandt with questions at 651-925-8812.

Crazy for You Auditions
The secret is out, the new musical is Crazy for You , a fast-moving show filled with Ira and George Gershwin music. Saint Agnes last did this show 15 years ago and, like Newsies , it has a large cast. This is where you come in: The chorus is open to all Saint Agnes students in grades 7 through 12. The Children’s Chorus is open to grades 2-6. No auditions are necessary for the chorus.

Auditions for lead roles are Monday, January 3 and Wednesday, January 5. Call backs will be Friday, January 7. Registration is different this year so read carefully and pass the word to your friends. You may register now through next Monday, January 27; materials are outside of Mrs. Nancy Johnson's Kindergarten classroom. After January 27 there will be a late registration fee of $20. Registration closes on January 31. No late applicants will be accepted. Please be diligent on these dates, and don’t miss out on an experience you will never forget! Questions? Contact Mr. David Johnson or Mrs. Nancy Johnson .
PLAN & PSAT Results
All students in grades 9-12 received their PLAN or PSAT results at school today. Students were instructed to bring their results home to share with their parents. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Rachel Kemp .

ACT Prep Course at Saint Agnes
Register for the Saint Agnes ACT Prep Course! Each session focuses on content and proven test-taking strategies to help students maximize their score. Classes meet twice a week (M/W) from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM, starting February 12th and continuing until April 1st. The first two meetings (February 12th and February 19th) will go until 4:30 PM to allow students to take a preliminary practice test.

Cost is $150 per student, which includes an ACT prep book. If possible, register and pay using Permission Click . If you prefer a paper form, they are available online or in the Guidance Office. Registration and payment must be received by Friday, January 24th in order to guarantee materials on time; later registration may be possible but arrival of materials is not guaranteed. Checks may be made payable to Saint Agnes School and returned to Ms. Samantha Burr with “ACT Course” in the memo line (Room 251); Permission Click will let you charge to TADS, or you may pay online (at this link , under “General Fees” and “Fees: Other” with the name of your student and “ACT class” in the memo line). If the class is filling up, priority will be given to Juniors. Please contact Ms. Samantha Burr with questions.

Pre-6 Catholic Schools Week Shirt Order Deadline - Tues., 1/21
Friday of Catholic Schools Week (January 31), lower school students are invited to wear these newly designed long-sleeve t-shirts ! For $13 apiece, these shirts feature our motto with outlines of St. John Paul II, St. Thomas Aquinas, and St. Agnes representing Faith, Reason, & Virtue. Shirts were designed to be worn long after Catholic Schools Weeks and passed on to younger siblings! Interested? Order online by Tuesday, January 21. (No payment due at this time: Fees will be directly applied in TADS tuition accounts upon receipt/distribution of shirts).
K-6 Catholic Schools Week - Mon., 1/27 through Fri., 1/31
See the schedule for details regarding dress up days, assemblies, and more! Our 7-12 Upper School students will be joining the Lower School for a few activities but will be celebrating their own Snow Days Week February 18-21. We look forward to celebrating our Catholic School next week!

Re-Enrollment: We are pleased to have begun the re-enrollment process! The letter announcing tuition rates for 2020-21 was put in the mail last week.  A digital copy of the letter can be found here . Re-enrollment will take place for the next week. Please take some time between now and Friday, January 31 and sign your child(ren) up for the 2020-21 school year.
Father/Daughter Dance - Sat., 2/29: Save the date for this year's Father/Daughter Dance! Young ladies in Grades 9 through 12 are invited to attend with their dad, grandfather, godfather or other male role model. Watch the newsletter for more information on how to attend or volunteer for this annual event.
