A Message from the Headmaster
Dear Families,

This past Sunday, we received some extremely sad news that impacts the Saint Agnes School community. Marcus Johnson, alumnus from the class of 2018, was found dead in east St. Paul on North Kennard and Ross Streets on Saturday night. Alumni and current students held a vigil on Sunday evening at the place where he died.

Police just released his name last night, and they are still investigating what happened. WCCO news featured this story yesterday.

Fr. Moriarty, Mr. Hendrickson, the high school faculty, and I met with our high school students this morning to inform them of Marcus’s death, to pray for the repose of his soul, and to help our students understand their own and others’ grief in light of this difficult news. It was certainly not the way we wanted to start Snow Days week, but we believed that our high school students needed to know and turn to God in prayer.

Please join me in praying for the repose of Marcus Johnson’s soul, for his family, and for those of us in our community who mourn his loss.

Eternal rest grant unto Marcus, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him.

May he rest in peace,
Kevin Ferdinandt
Prayer Request
Please hold the Lancette family in your prayers, as our sophomore Ciella mourns the loss of her mother Ashley this past week. More details on how our community can help their family will be forthcoming. Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord.
