Year End Wrap Up
Book Return
We thank everyone who was able to drop off materials and books last Tuesday.  We still are missing quite a few items as some families have not brought materials or forgot them in their drop-off last week. Also, we do have materials to return to students. If you have items that have not been picked-up or need to drop-off books/materials, we ask that you do the following:
Please call ahead to the Main Office, letting them know the day and approximate time of your arrival;
  • Please place all school owned books and materials in a bag clearly labeled with the student first and last name, and grade;
  • K-6 student labels should also include teacher's name;
  • Please bring all items to the school’s Main Office.
We will also be accepting gently used uniform donations in a separate bag labeled "used uniform." We will not be collecting any computer devices at this time.
Please call the Main Office if you have questions 651-925-8700.
Letters of Gratitude to Our Bishops
A reminder of Mr. Adkins Lower School request for letters of Gratitude for Archbishop Hebda and Bishop Cozzens from Lower School students/families We’ve already got a nice stack of letters from the Book/Materials Drop-Off on June 2nd, but we’d love to bring an even bigger box to them! Please drop off a letter to our school’s Main Office by Friday, June 12 @ 2:00 p.m. You may also mail them if you believe they’ll arrive by Friday.  See further directions here .
Lost & Found Items
There were many personal items left in classrooms which were not labeled with student's names. Please check your homes to see if you are missing boots, shoes, hats, snow pants, lunch boxes, water bottles, etc. The Lost & Found is now located in the UAC Commons and you are encouraged to stop in and claim your children’s items.
From the Guidance Office
We have made it through distance learning! Given the ongoing situation regarding COVID-19, distance learning, and the recent unrest in our cities, it would certainly not be unusual for students to be experiencing some stress, anxiety, confusion, and a whole host of other thoughts and emotions. The counselors in the Guidance Office are happy to share that we will be available for one-on-one appointments over the next week for any students who would like to process the many difficult recent events. Parents,please contact Mrs. Kemp , Mr. Loesch , or Mrs. Roy to set up an appointment.

Past News and Quick Links
Dear Families,

I wanted to offer some important pieces of information and GOOD news for the upcoming school year.

First, we are so grateful to all those parents who made it to drop off and pick up of materials yesterday. Many repeated the same thing: “Please open the school in August and welcome back the children!” We are going to do precisely that—open the school. However, we will do so four days earlier than planned on August 25th (rather than the 31st as originally articulated). To reiterate, we plan to start school in Saint Agnes School’s building on Tuesday, August 25, 2020. We will be getting a card stock copy of the updated calendar to our families as soon as we can.

Second, we are announcing the formation of a Saint Agnes Reopening Task Force that will help us determine the best way to open safely in August. We will be asking some parents from differing backgrounds and expertise to participate with some faculty members and me on this task force. We hope to begin meeting next week, and so will be trying to finalize a group by the end of the day on Monday. Please offer suggestions directly to me (Kevin Ferdinandt: kferdinandt@saintagnesschool.org ) of who you think might be helpful, if you think of people who would be good.

Finally, we found out from Mother Assumpta and Sr. Maria Rose that the following Dominican Sisters will be assigned to Saint Agnes School for the 2020-21 school year. Three of our four sisters will be returning! They are as follows: Sr. Teresa Christi ~ 8th-10th Grade History, Sr. Mary Philomena ~ 6th Grade, Sr. Mary Consolata ~ 4th Grade, Sr. Maria Karol ~ 1st Grade (We will send you more information on Sr. Maria Karol as it becomes available).  We will be very sorry to see Sr. Gabriella leave our first grade classroom. She has been a gift to our first graders and to our Lower School faculty! She will remain in our Convent until the end of June, so feel free to send her an email with gratitude for all she’s done here. Please pray for her as she makes her way to Texas for the 2020-21 school year. Please also say a prayer for our wonderful sisters and our ongoing relationship with the Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist.

Blessings on your summer break,
Kevin Ferdinandt
