Medicare Advantage in 2022: Enrollment Update and Key Trends



A new Kaiser Family Foundation analysis found that more than 28 million people were enrolled in a Medicare Advantage plan in 2022, accounting for nearly half of the eligible Medicare population. To better understand this and other trends, the analysis provides current information about Medicare Advantage enrollment, including the types of plans in which Medicare beneficiaries are enrolled and how enrollment varies across geographic areas.
