Farm Safety, Health, & Wellness
AgrAbility Virginia has been at the center of a collaborative Farm Safety, Health, & Wellness initiative. Through this initiative, AgrAbility Virginia has hosted educational webinars, trained staff on a farm stress curriculum, and published multiple resources. One of the many outcomes from this successful initiative include five fictional case studies and a guide to show how practitioners can support farmers through stressful events and decisions. Terrie Webb of Webb's Gardens is one of many clients AgrAbility Virginia has served over the years, and now she along with three other farmers have accepted positions on the Advisory Group. The AgrAbility Assistive Technology Fund
AgrAbility Virginia works to help farmers and farm workers with injuries or disabilities to continue working safely and efficiently. Easterseals UCP, an AgrAbility Virginia partner agency, organizes the Assistive Technology Fund as an avenue to support this mission.
