Ag Retailer Roundtable
This morning, the Washington County SWCD, Natural Resources Conservation Service, Indiana Farm Bureau, and ag retailers met in Scottsburg, Indiana to learn more about seeding and fertilizer tools, NRCS programs and technical assistance.  There was also important information discussed regarding the Indiana Nutrient Management Strategy and other practices that are most appropriate to achieve reductions in nutrient loss, improve nutrient management and soil health and, ultimately, Indiana's water quality.

CTIC Conservation In Action Tour

Conservation Technology Information Center (CTIC) is hosting its 10th annual Conservation in Action Tour back home in Indiana. Learn how conservation farming has progressed by visiting  four different farms to see first-hand innovation in conservation agriculture on Indiana's farmland.   Don't miss the pre-tour social on September 5 for a great opportunity to network with fellow farmers, agribusiness leaders, researchers, government agency officials, ag media and more.

2017 'Upper White' Cover Crop Program Officially Introduced
The Indiana Soybean Alliance and Indiana Corn Marketing Council, partnering with Beck's Hybrids and AgriFlite, recently unveiled a program for Indiana corn and soybean farmers in the Upper White River Watershed.  This program would provide the opportunity to participate in a fully funded terminal cover crop trial program this fall.  For more information, click HERE.
Rebuild Rural Coalition - 
Letter to the President
The Agribusiness Council of Indiana is one of 200 members of the Rebuild Rural Coalition who represent rural communities and advocate for a variety of issues affecting those stakeholders.  This week, ACI signed on to a letter to the President in support of the Presidential Advisory Council on Infrastructure and asked that representatives from the rural community be included in the council and their efforts - at this time there are no representatives from rural America.  Please click HERE to read the letter and learn more about the coalition.
