Air Park Recreation Center - December 2016
Stop by to see the many opportunities the Air Park Rec. Center has to offer you and your family.  We have a game room with pool tables, air hockey, foosball, shuffleboard, and more!  Our gym is HUGE, and available most afternoons and evenings.  We have a computer lab with internet access, and a fitness room with a new treadmill and Air Dyne bikes that can be accessed for ONLY $2.50.

Arnold Before / After School Program
Our before and after school program is in full swing and full of vibrant staff! Enrolled students participate in fun club activities ranging from nutrition to science to SPARK (Sports, Play & Active Recreation for Kids). Plus there are many opportunities to relax and work on homework. Our before school program starts at 6:30 a.m. and our after school program ends at 6:00 p.m.

Enrollment for the second semester is now open.

Kids' Day Off
Air Park Recreation Center offers a full-day recreation program for students from 6:30 a.m.-6:00 p.m. when school is not in session. Space is limited and advance registration is required.  Youth will participate in a variety of organized games, seasonal crafts, nature activities, occasional field trips, and more!

Over the LPS Winter Break, the available Kid's Days Off are December 23, 27-30 and January 3.

  Old School P.E. (for Adults) 
OLD SCHOOL GAMES: dodgeball, kickball, pickleball, spiderball, wiffleball, relay races, scooter games, and more!  
Come and be a kid again! Next session will begin January 4th. Wednesdays & Fridays from 6:30-8 PM. If interested, call or go online to register.  Have fun with friends and get moving without feeling like you're exercising.  Having FUN is required while playing Old School PE games like you remember!
Three Battles Goju Ryu
A traditional Okinawa style of martial arts.  This style combin es the "softer" style of redirecting and blocking with the "harder"  style of kicking and punching movements associated with karate.  Instruction will include kata, technique, awareness of surroundings, self defense, discipline, and a good workout.  Youth and adult classes available.

 Beginning Archery 

4 weeks of NASP instruction tailored to the beginning archer. Includes the basics of archery: 30 min. of instruction & 30 min. of open range time. Please register 7 days prior to the start of the session, which begins at the start of every month. Ages 6+ are welcome.

Start Dates: January 7, February 4
Saturdays: 9:30-10:30 a.m.

Instructor: Jamie Vondracek, National Archery In the Schools Program Certified Instructor.


Rock Steady Boxing

Rock Steady Boxing classes began in July, and our boxers have been experiencing great results!  Rock Steady Boxing is an exercise program based on training used by professional boxers and adapted for people with Parkinson's Disease. Rock Steady Boxing is taught by experienced trainers and includes stretching, bicycling, running, jumping rope, push-ups, balancing and non-contact boxing. These classes have proven that anyone, at any level of Parkinson’s, can actually lessen their symptoms and lead a healthier/happier life.

Open Door Senior Time  

The weather outside may be frightful, but spending time with company is always enjoyable.  Stop by the center to enjoy leisure activities, walking in the gym, or a nice cup of coffee among friends.

Lincoln Boxing Club
After 20 years of service to our community, Lincoln Boxing Club will be closing its doors. The last day of club will be December 29, 2016. We appreciate the service it has provided to the community and the legacy that goes with it.

With a focus on fitness, discipline and excellence the Lincoln Boxing Club utilizes our boxing facility on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6-8 PM.  Equipment is available on site.  No fee for "training."  Ages 8+ are welcome to join.
