ORAC’s Apprentice Intake Program receives over 600 applications each year, using a comprehensive screening, testing, and interview process to identify the most qualified first-year apprentice candidates.
Through this streamlined approach, ORAC helps meet contractor demand across Ontario’s unionized HVACR workforce - resulting in approximately 150 successful first-year apprentice hires annually.
The program also saves contractors significant time and effort.
| | |
Candidates on the Ready-to-Hire list have already been vetted for math and science fundamentals, mechanical aptitude, a valid G-class driver’s licence, and many bring relevant experience and the right attitude for the job.
Contractors don’t need to sort through hundreds of resumes or conduct countless interviews - ORAC has already narrowed the field to the best candidates.
With growing buzz around skilled trades careers and the earning potential within HVACR, interest in the program continues to climb.
