AireSpring Signs Distribution Agreement with Ooma to Offer Nationwide POTS Replacement Solution

We’re excited to announce AireSpring has entered into a distribution agreement with Ooma, Inc., to offer the Ooma AirDial® POTS Replacement Solution nationwide.

As copper POTS lines are being phased out and costs for maintaining them continue to rise, businesses need reliable alternatives for critical analog lines. Ooma AirDial provides a fully managed, cost-effective, and dependable replacement for services such as elevators, fire alarms, security systems, gate entry phones, emergency call boxes, and fax machines.

The all-in-one solution integrates hardware, software, wireless connectivity, and cloud-based monitoring to deliver secure and seamless analog line replacement. Key features include:

  • Built-in wireless connectivity (LTE)
  • Unique, patented MultiPath technology for simultaneous wired and wireless connections, for unparalleled reliability
  • Long-lasting battery backup
  • Cloud-based remote device management and monitoring
  • Easy deployment and plug-and-play setup
  • Compliance with life safety and industry regulations (e.g., fire and elevator codes)

“We’re excited to partner with Ooma to bring their innovative AirDial solution to our enterprise customers,” said Avi Lonstein, CEO of AireSpring. “This offering aligns perfectly with AireSpring’s commitment to helping businesses modernize legacy infrastructure while simplifying their technology stack. AirDial gives our customers a reliable, scalable way to transition away from outdated copper lines without disruption.”

Copper POTS lines are soon going away—and for good reason. But your customers still rely on life‑safety systems like fire alarms, elevator phones, and panic buttons.

That’s where Ooma AirDial, now available through AireSpring, delivers the game-changing, future-proof POTS replacement every business needs.

In this webinar you'll uncover how to:

Eliminate Complexity with a True Turnkey System - Deliver a plug‑and‑play solution that bundles hardware, LTE + wired data, remote management, and voice service into one predictable monthly bill—no juggling vendors, no billing surprises.

Maximize Reliability Through Dual-Link Redundancy - Ooma’s patented MultiPath technology simultaneously routes traffic over LTE and Ethernet. If one link falters, the other seamlessly takes over—keeping critical calls connected without interruption.

Ensure Lifeline Protection During Outages - With a built-in 16-hour battery backup—and optional extensions beyond 24 hours—AirDial maintains uptime long after power fails.

Safeguard Legacy Systems—No Rip‑and‑Replace Required -

Supports existing POTS-based safety systems—elevator phones, alarm panels, gate access, blue‑light emergency phones—so your customers can keep what works and upgrade what’s outdated.

Monitor Remotely with Total Transparency -

Use the AirDial web portal to view device status, battery levels, signal strength, and more across multiple sites. Receive SMS or email alerts for outages, low battery, or other critical events.

Stay Compliant and Secure, Without the Risk

AirDial is engineered for emergency readiness and industry compliance (UL, NFPA‑72, ASME A17.1B, California Fire Marshal, NYC FDNY) and operates over an MFVN‑compliant network—keeping communications off the public internet.

AireSpring

To begin, please tell us a little about yourself, your career in

telecom/technology, and your agency.

I started my telecom career in 1999 as a system designer for BellSouth Business Solutions and held various other titles (Sales Engineer and Account Manager, among others) over a 15-year stint with them, which included BellSouth’s merger with AT&T. I left AT&T to work for a company selling telecom services through a technology services broker (TSB) and AT&T APEX (Wholesale) along with hosted voice and premise-based phone systems.

Brent Duncan

Vice President of Carrier Services, BCI

Ridgeland, MS

After 4 years, I went back to AT&T to serve as Application Sales Executive in the Public Safety Solutions division, which was responsible for 911 and public safety across the United States. After two and a half years in that role, I was hired to head up the Carrier Services division at Business Communications, Inc. (BCI), where I have been for 4 years.

Founded in 1993, BCI is a multi-state managed services provider (MSP) headquartered in Ridgeland, MS, with offices in Little Rock, AR, Harrisburg, PA, and Hattiesburg, MS, with plans to expand into additional states. BCI employs around 150 people in 15 states and focuses on providing top-notch technology, security products and services. Since its founding, BCI has become a trusted partner for nearly 1,200 customers overall, including 600 managed services customers. A few months ago, BCI was voted Fortinet’s “Growth Partner of the Year.” We're an experienced team--we hold certifications in all eight of Fortinet's Engage Partner specializations and currently have five Fortinet Certified Experts (FCX's), NSE 8-certified engineers. BCI also employs over 80 engineers with various skill sets, including 6 CCIEs.

What do you like about working with AireSpring?

AireSpring truly cares about partners and customers and that is reflected in the customer service the team delivers. We were thrilled to have members of the executive team involved in the sales and support process, as well as an escalation list that goes up to AireSpring CEO Avi Lonstein. The company is very responsive when I ask for quotes or contracts.

"Through its excellence in customer service and providing a broad range of solutions, AireSpring is highly competitive in today’s market and stands out as a top-tier aggregator."

When I need to escalate an issue, I have peace of mind knowing that someone will respond to me promptly. AireSpring Regional Channel Manager Jesse Michael always goes above and beyond when I ask him for something, and AireSpring COO Russ Shipley was a great help during the sales process as well.

Through its excellence in customer service and providing a broad range of solutions, AireSpring is highly competitive in today’s market and stands out as a top-tier aggregator. They streamline billing and support by consolidating services under one provider, making management simple and efficient. Thanks to all the positive experiences I’ve had with AireSpring, I confidently recommend them for their reliability and ease of doing business.

What would you say is the secret to being a successful technology advisor in today’s marketplace?

Trust and knowledge are key to being successful in this industry. Customers need to trust that you understand their business and how technology can help them solve problems, increase productivity, increase profit or lower expenses.

"Trust takes time to earn and can be lost forever if it is broken."

They also need to trust that you have their best interest at heart and are not just trying to sell them something to make money. Trust takes time to earn and can be lost forever if it is broken.

A trusted advisor also needs to understand the ever-changing and complex marketplace. They should try to stay ahead of these trends and help customers implement solutions, not simply buy new technology. With so much change taking place in telecom, our customers need to know how to navigate this environment, and trustworthy, knowledgeable advisors can provide the necessary information to help them make decisions.

What do you foresee happening in the channel in 2025 (or what is the “next big thing” or “things” you think people should be aware of or get involved in, etc.)?

An increase in customer requests around AI and security is occurring in 2025 and beyond. CIOs know they need AI, they just don’t always know why. AI is disrupting the industry, and we have the opportunity as trusted advisors to help navigate this landscape for them.

Security is a constantly evolving challenge, and protecting customers from emerging threats requires a comprehensive approach. Organizations need support in securing every layer of their network—and that includes empowering employees to recognize and guard against social engineering attacks.

"Security is a constantly evolving challenge, and protecting customers from emerging threats requires a comprehensive approach. Organizations need support in securing every layer of their network."

Quantum computing is also going to disrupt the industry by enabling rapid decryption of today’s encryption standards. While solutions to mitigate these risks already exist, organizations must understand the long-term security implications and opportunities now to effectively prepare for a quantum-ready future.

What are some of your interests outside of telecom?

I enjoy spending time with my wife and two kids. We love to take the boat out on the local reservoir. I also enjoy exercising: lifting weights and running. My wife and I are avid Formula One racing fans and love watching the races together. I’m going to Talladega this year to see my first NASCAR race and I’m looking forward to it.

Tell us briefly about your professional background and your career prior to joining AireSpring.

I have over 30 years of experience in the telecommunications industry. Throughout my career, I’ve held roles with several leading providers, including Lumen, Spectrum, Frontier, XO Communications, and Sprint. My background has given me a broad perspective across different areas of telecom, from network services to customer solutions, and has allowed me to build deep expertise in helping businesses leverage technology to achieve their goals.
