Tell us briefly about your professional background and your career prior to joining AireSpring.
I began my career in telecom over 15 years ago, first as Senior Sales Consultant at Cbeyond, and as Senior Sales Executive at TelWest, a subsidiary of TelePacific (TPx). Most recently, I served as Channel Territory Manager at 11:11 Systems, a cloud, connectivity, and security provider. Before that, I took on the role of Senior Account Executive (International) and US Channel Manager, Global Network Solutions at Expereo, an internet aggregator and SD-WAN and SASE managed services provider.
During my time at Expereo, I worked with Fortune 500 customers, selling global connectivity in hard-to-reach locations as well as managed network solutions. Prior to joining Expereo, I served as Strategic Solutions Director at Earthlink Business (which was later acquired by Windstream), specializing in SD-WAN, connectivity, and managed security for large enterprises.
Tell us a bit about your role at AireSpring and how you support our partners.
My role here at AireSpring is to engage with our partners and educate them on where AireSpring plays well in the marketplace—we offer a broad product line, and we’re always adding new solutions, so there’s plenty of new information and opportunities to discuss with them. I work with our partners on hashing out the details of opportunities, and making sure that from a solutions engineering side that everything is a good fit. I also work with internal teams to pull together all the components of a solution that partners and their customers are looking for, including support.
AireSpring provides a range of solutions to support multi-location enterprises operating throughout the United States and globally, and when it comes to providing global solutions, we educate our partners about how we do that, like fostering direct relationships with international carriers. I have a background in global connectivity and SD-WAN, and I find I’m using that knowledge frequently here at AireSpring. AireSpring has a competitive advantage with its global solutions and it is growing rapidly.
What do you like about working at AireSpring?
Above all, we have a fantastic team here at AireSpring. We really pull solutions together internally to meet customer needs, all the way up to the executive team. Everyone is willing to jump in on opportunities with partners to provide an additional layer of support and make a connection with the customer. The escalation list up to the CEO that we provide gives them peace of mind, and the relationships we establish further cement that personal connection, so when they do need support, they know exactly who they are talking to and they get what they need.
I’ve really enjoyed working with everyone on the team, including AireSpring Director of Solutions Engineering Clinton Devereaux, AireSpring SVP Channel Sales John Young, AireSpring Director of Pricing and Offer Management Ilya Shvartsman, and many others. They’ve all been willing to jump in and help out with opportunities and dig into specifics to come up with solutions and pricing that really works for customers. The expertise we have here at AireSpring has been a great resource for me.
Tell us about your hobbies outside of work.
Spending time with family is a big hobby of mine. I have a son who is going into the third grade, so pretty much all of my free time is spent with him. He’s a big sports fan and plays baseball, basketball, and football, and I help coach. I’m also a diehard sports fan—Alabama teams in particular are my favorite. As an Alabama Crimson Tide football fan, I bleed crimson through and through. I love to hunt, fish, and do anything outdoors. As long as water is involved, I’m happy.
