Join our November training and learn how you can help your clients plan for the unexpected. Disasters—whether natural like hurricanes, floods, or fires, or manmade like security breaches or technology failures—can strike at any time. The question is, will your clients be ready?

In this month’s webinar, you’ll learn how to help your clients create and execute an effective Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BCDR) plan, covering solutions for preventing costly downtime and ensuring business resilience.

Why This Matters

Many businesses focus on cutting costs, but what they don’t realize is that the cost of network downtime could far outweigh their savings. By investing in the right technology and services, your customers can protect their operations from both predictable and unexpected threats, while minimizing expensive downtime.

Key Points We'll Cover:

  • The costly consequences of downtime: revenue loss, reputational damage, and customer churn
  • Natural disasters vs. manmade: Why businesses must be prepared for both
  • Examples of manmade disasters like the CrowdStrike upgrade failure and lessons learned
  • Managed Connectivity: Solutions like LTE 4G/5G and Starlink LEO Satellite Service for uninterrupted service during a disaster
  • Managed SD-WAN & SASE: Ensures network reliability and optimized performance
  • Managed Security Services: AI-powered systems to detect and contain threats faster

Join AireSpring’s Stephen Sigmon, VP of Solutions Engineering, and Clinton Deveraux, Director of Solutions Engineering, for insights on how our managed technology solutions can help your customers stay connected and operational through any disaster.

To begin, please tell us a little about yourself, your career in telecom/technology, and your agency.

My husband Ryan and I met while working at Comcast, and after starting our family, we realized we wanted control over our time so we could be present and the best parents we could be during the short 18 or so years that our kids will live with us.

We knew that a technology advisory business would allow us to build recurring income, and we could decide what work-life balance looked like for us.

Unfortunately, instead of carefully planning for our journey in entrepreneurship and saving money, we cannonballed into the deep end and made a big splash! Anyone who has started a technology agency knows that it takes a long time to start making money, so we downsized our expenses, sold our house, moved into our RV, and traveled full-time so we could have less pressure while we built up our business. Part of that plan was to also have a lot of fun along the way and see the country.

When we finally built up our base enough with our company Adaptiv Advisors, we settled in Boise, ID, and continued to work with customers all over the country.

One of the things that had a huge impact on our business was talking about our business, our struggles, and even our wins with our peers, but we found that it was difficult to meet our peers. We only had a few contacts that we met through industry events. So, in 2022, we launched the Technology Advisor Alliance (TAA), an online community exclusive to technology advisors, agents, and small managed services providers (MSPs). In the TAA platform, agents can talk about challenges they are tackling in their businesses, their experiences with customers and vendors, industry issues, and more. This has grown into a searchable, crowd-sourced library of information for technology advisors. As of this writing, we have 184 members, and we couldn’t be more excited to grow this community and help others thrive.

What do you like about working with AireSpring?

One of the things I love about working with AireSpring is that they truly understand the value of a customized approach. In an industry where products can feel interchangeable, AireSpring’s commitment to service and support really sets them apart. They’re a channel-exclusive company, which I absolutely appreciate because it means their systems are built to support us technology advisors, agents, managed services providers (MSPs), and value-added resellers (VARs).

"In an industry where products can feel interchangeable, AireSpring’s commitment to service and support really sets them apart."

AireSpring’s quick pricing turnarounds, especially with their innovative QuoteSpring tool, make it so easy to get things moving. Plus, working with their team, particularly AireSpring Regional Channel Manager Kent Krebs, has been a fantastic experience. Kent is always responsive, straightforward, and helps ensure that the process runs smoothly. From installation to project management, the

AireSpring team pays close attention to details and stays engaged, which makes everything seamless. I’ve always had positive experiences with them, and I’m excited to keep that relationship going.

What would you say is the secret to being a successful technology advisor in today’s marketplace?

The best way to be successful is to become indispensable to your customers. You can do this by bringing information to your customers that they can’t find on their own. Customers have access to the information that the suppliers share with them, whether this is through marketing, online, or direct from a salesperson or engineer.

"What technology advisors bring is their experiences and deep understanding of everything else that happens in the technology procurement and implementation process."

What technology advisors bring is their experiences and deep understanding of everything else that happens in the technology procurement and implementation process and how that can affect their customers’ businesses.

What do you foresee happening in the channel in 2025 (or what is the “next big thing” or “things” you think people should be aware of or get involved in, etc.)?

One of the things we deal with now is that many customers still haven’t ever worked with a technology advisor, so you have to really explain the model and there’s often some skepticism on the customer’s part. Sometimes they think it’s too good to be true.

I see this changing and the channel getting more popular and well-known as the best way to procure technology services. The more that technology advisors, vendors, and TSDs talk about the model and why it’s a no brainer for the customers, the better for all of us it is.

"I see the channel getting more popular and well-known as the best way to procure technology services."

I believe our industry pie will get bigger and that will benefit all of us but like in the MSP world, I think it will come with regulation, though I’m not sure what type. I am very optimistic about this industry and couldn’t be more excited to be a part of it.

What are some of your interests outside of telecom?

Ryan and I are very much in family mode and love mode. We are simple creatures who just want to enjoy our moments in the present with each other and with our kids as much as possible. We love to travel and spent most of 2023 in Europe with a home base in Portugal before moving back to the US in June of 2024. Hiking, biking, spa days, and curling up with a good sci-fi novel is on my list, while Ryan’s list has hiking, biking, off-roading, skiing, snowboarding, camping, backpacking, and more thrill-seeking adventures on his.

Tell us briefly about your professional background and your career prior to joining AireSpring.

I bring over 15 years of experience in the telecom industry, complemented by several years in hospitality sales management. My transition to telecom was inspired by my mother, who saw a parallel between my tenacity and that of a Bright House representative she spoke with, leading her to encourage me to pursue this path. With that motivation, I donned my best suit, traveled to Orlando, and applied for a position. I was fortunate to be given a chance, equipped with a laptop and phone, and began my journey on the SMB side. At that time, Bright House (now Spectrum) operated in only seven states, providing a manageable environment where I gained substantial knowledge about the technology.

Subsequently, I served as an Account Executive at Sprint and Crown Castle, where I played a pivotal role in securing new business and contracts, selling solutions such as dark fiber, Ethernet, dedicated internet access (DIA), cloud services, and DDoS defense technologies. I later led the enterprise account team as Global Account Director for Media, Content, & Commerce at Zayo Group. Before joining AireSpring, I held the position of Strategic Account Director at GTT, managing the company’s largest accounts and specializing in SASE, SD-WAN, networking, cloud, and connectivity solutions.

Throughout my career, I have established myself as an expert technology advisor and innovative partner, dedicated to helping enterprise clients transform their organizations and achieve optimal business outcomes. My experience spans managing account portfolios for Fortune 500 to 1000 clients, with a strong focus on developing tailored engagement strategies and solutions that address real challenges. My primary strength lies in translating technical capabilities into business value, allowing me to craft solutions that not only meet customer needs but also drive business growth.

Tell us a bit about your role at AireSpring and how you support our partners.

As the Regional Channel Manager for Eastern Florida, I am deeply committed to problem-solving. I approach challenges with genuine care for people and an unwavering drive to see others succeed. My role involves collaborating closely with our partners, guiding them to ask the right questions during the discovery process, and equipping them with the knowledge they need about emerging solutions. Ultimately, our success hinges on delivering wins for our customers, so I prioritize maximizing our time together by gathering essential information upfront and understanding their objectives. This approach fosters trust, allowing partners to open up and involve me early in the process.

At AireSpring, I bring a unique blend of technical expertise, leadership experience, and a passion for innovation. My focus is on delivering comprehensive solutions that not only drive success for our channel partners but also consistently yield measurable results and enhance client satisfaction.

The achievements throughout my career stem from a steadfast commitment to being customer-focused and driving success for my clients. I’ve found great success in engaging with them, helping them realize the value of tools they may not fully understand. Many partners initially send requests for quotes without recognizing the potential of these solutions. By taking the time to demonstrate the power of these tools, I can significantly enhance their experience and outcomes. Building strong relationships and investing that extra effort has proven to be immensely rewarding.

What do you like about working at AireSpring?

I am truly grateful for the corporate culture and the people at AireSpring. From the moment I arrived, it’s been clear that AireSpring is deeply committed to customer success and transforming organizational operations—values that resonate with my own. We share a collective spirit; everyone is eager to help one another and achieve success together. Our team embodies genuine transparency and involved leadership, making it easy to engage with colleagues at all levels.

The collaborative environment across departments empowers us to accomplish our goals, supported by strong and accessible leadership. AireSpring’s CEO, Avi Lonstein, President & CRO, Daniel Lonstein, and COO, Russ Shipley, actively work to foster a culture that values individuals, ensuring that we are recognized as people, not just numbers in a large corporation.

In my new role as Regional Channel Manager, I see significant potential to leverage my experience in strengthening our channel partnerships. By utilizing my deep understanding of enterprise client needs and my strategic problem-solving skills, I aim to help our partners effectively position AireSpring’s solutions, drive revenue growth, and secure long-term success for both our partners and their customers.

I am particularly excited about AireSpring’s dedication to innovation and its customer-centric approach. I look forward to contributing to this dynamic environment, sharing my enterprise insights, and fostering stronger relationships to achieve outstanding results.

Tell us about your hobbies/activities outside of work.

When I’m not working (which isn’t very often since I also work on weekends), I like to spend time with my family. My husband, Jeremy, is an auctioneer by trade and a team roper with the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association, and we have 8-year-old twin boys, Hico & Houston. We’re a very active family, and we do a lot outdoors. We love fishing, hunting, camping, rodeo, and baseball, and I love to cook when I have the time. We live in a rural area and have a lot of animals as well—horses, cattle, deer, dogs, chickens, and pigs---you name it, and we probably have it!

We’re also active in the ASPCA thanks to my son Hico. He saw a picture of a sad-looking dog at a local pizza joint and wanted us to help, and since we’re a family of animal lovers, we agreed. Since Hico is only 8, when he volunteers that means I have to volunteer too. So, it’s a family affair.
