Tired of truck rolls and frustrated by downtime at your remote retail and branch locations?

In today's highly distributed IT landscape, immediate problem resolution is critical for maintaining business continuity, operational efficiency, and a seamless customer experience. Manual interventions for simple power cycling issues are not just costly—they significantly increase time-to-resolution and negatively impact staff productivity.

This essential webinar will explore the transformative impact of AireSpring’s

AireReboot Remote Power Reboot (RPR) services on IT and networking management for multi-site organizations like retailers, bank branches, and quick-service restaurants.

Key Takeaways You Will Gain:

Slash Operating Costs: Discover how RPR services eliminate the need for costly and time-consuming truck rolls for simple equipment resets, leading to a demonstrable reduction in IT operational expenditures (OpEx).

Maximize Uptime and Availability: Learn to drastically reduce system downtime by instantly power-cycling frozen or malfunctioning devices (e.g., POS systems, routers, digital signage) from a central location.

Enhance IT Staff Efficiency: Understand how automating power management tasks frees up your valuable IT support team to focus on strategic, complex issues rather than basic reboots.

Strengthen Security Posture: Explore best practices for integrating RPR solutions securely into your existing network infrastructure and meeting compliance requirements.

Optimize Customer Experience: See how rapid, remote resolution of tech issues ensures that customer-facing systems (like kiosks and payment terminals) are always operational, protecting revenue and brand reputation.

Don't let a frozen router or POS system halt your business. Join us to learn how to put the power of remote control back into your hands.

To begin, please tell us a little about yourself, your career in

telecom/technology, and your agency.

With over three decades in the industry, most of my career has been spent in direct sales as well as the channel. I have held numerous sales and marketing roles throughout that time, helping medium, large and enterprise customers find right-sized solutions and streamline their operations while saving on cost.

Before joining TDM, I spent 10 years at Charter/Spectrum, achieving the number one sales spot for eight consecutive years. I was also a nine-time President’s Club award winner there, managing 10 of their largest accounts nationwide.

Barry Chelist

Global Account Manager, TDM

Chesterfield, MO

Before that, I held executive sales leadership positions at companies like GroupCast Messaging and McLeodUSA, the first CLEC in the Midwest to provide competitive dial tone services. I spent 10 years at McLeod, specializing in multi-location enterprises and developing physical security solutions to help them prepare for large public events.

As Global Accounts Manager at TDM, one of the verticals I’m in charge of is construction, providing services to offices and job sites. I also specialize in physical security. My three daughters are all teachers, so I have a vested interest in wanting to keep educational facilities safe with solutions like security cameras, mass alerting technology, and bulletproof glass and window screens. Since developing that specialty I've expanded into the enterprise world, working with enterprises on strengthening their physical security posture.

My other area of expertise is supporting multi-location clients. I enjoy the challenge that these clients bring since connectivity is not universal everywhere in the world.

What do you like about working with AireSpring?

One of the things I like best about AireSpring, other than the broad product set and truly personalized customer service, is the flexibility the company provides when it comes to making a deal a financial win for the customer and partner.

"Our project manager and AireSpring’s project management and service delivery teams all work hand in hand together to deliver our customers the solutions they need when they need them."

AireSpring offers some of the best spiffs in the industry. I also appreciate the speed and ease with which I receive pricing back from my channel manager, AireSpring Regional Channel Manager Terri O'Leary. I get all the information I need about what I can present to the customer.

Another benefit to working with AireSpring is that the company’s project management service delivery folks are easy to work with. At TDM, we’re a little different than other technology solutions distributors (TSDs) out there. We have our own project management staff, and we overlay a project manager on every deal that we sell. This makes it easier for me to focus on sales rather than other details like implementation. Our project manager and AireSpring’s project management and service delivery teams all work hand in hand together to deliver our customers the solutions they need when they need them.

What would you say is the secret to being a successful technology advisor in today’s marketplace?

A key component of being successful in today’s marketplace is making sure you stay up to date with the latest technology you can offer to your customers and continue to educate them about their options. Staying on the cutting edge of AI is something that we’re prioritizing at TDM, and we take full advantage of it through AireSpring’s QuoteSpring tool as well. Using it for quotes and smaller deals makes a lot of sense because it frees up team members on our quote desk to focus on enterprise deals. For example, I put in a quote request this morning and I got it back within 10 minutes.

"Staying on the cutting edge of AI is something that we’re prioritizing at TDM, and we take full advantage of it through AireSpring’s QuoteSpring tool as well."

Doing right by the customer, looking at their cost savings and risk, and helping them make the best decisions possible is also important. Keeping their cybersecurity requirements in mind is crucial as well—you must make sure you’re rallying all the experts to work with customers to meet their needs.

What do you foresee happening in the channel in 2025 (or what is the “next big thing” or “things” you think people should be aware of or get involved in, etc.)?

The integration of AI is at top of mind for many companies. It is a foot race in 2025, and the same is going to be true of 2026. Customers are losing staff and being asked to do more with less. They don’t have the resources to do things like watch for and open trouble tickets.

I recommend that every multi-location customer work with a vendor with a strong ITSM platform like AireSpring’s AIreCONTROL IT service management (ITSM) platform. These new tools that customers have at their fingertips will make it easier for them to do things even beyond monitoring their networks. With it, they can conduct serviceability checks to grab their inventory information, view billing, get access to an escalation list, and so on.

"I recommend that every multi-location customer work with a vendor with a strong ITSM platform such as AireSpring’s AIreCONTROL."

At TDM, we represent about 500 different suppliers, conduct energy audits, and deliver LED lighting replacement solutions—we provide so many services customers may not even be aware of, and now we’re promoting AI tools like AIreCONTROL to educate the marketplace on all we offer and our market differentiators.

What are some of your interests outside of telecom?

My wife and I have five daughters together (I have three and my wife has two), ages 20 to 30. The youngest is a sophomore in college, and four of them live out of state. When we’re not spending time traveling to visit them, we enjoy visiting our house in Hawaii, and we love going to Florida.

I'm also an avid sailor who grew up on a sailboat. I've sailed the British Virgin Islands a few times, so if we're vacationing somewhere, I always look for the nearest marina, or to see if the resort has a Hobie catamaran that we can go take out—it’s a big passion of mine.

Tell us briefly about your professional background and your career prior to joining AireSpring.

I have over two decades of experience helping enterprises transform their operations, delivering AI/ML implementation, process automation, and telecommunications. Throughout that time, I’ve focused on leveraging advanced technologies to provide the best customer experience possible, optimize business operations, and deliver measurable results for our clients.

Roy Pereira

SVP Information Management

My leadership roles at SpartanNash, Harris Corporation, and Siemens enabled me to drive enterprise architecture, broadband product engineering, and systems design initiatives. As an adjunct professor at Ferris State University, I taught courses in game programming and digital animation and helped design a software engineering degree program.

Before coming to AireSpring, I spent 16 years at Cox Communications in various roles in Operations Support Systems (OSS) and Business Support Systems (BSS). Most recently, I served as Assistant Vice President of Digital Technology, spearheading large-scale digital transformation initiatives, and leading a group of over 400 team members. Thanks to our efforts, we garnered $40 million in cost savings and over $1 billion in new revenue while implementing AI/ML solutions that maximized customer experience and operational efficiency.

I enjoy learning as much as I can about this industry—I hold six patents in technology and telecommunications, a Master’s in Finance from Harvard University, and a Bachelor’s in Computer Science from Hope College. Furthering my education, I’ve also completed executive programs in telecommunications management from University of Virginia Darden School of Business and Georgia Institute of Technology.

Tell us a bit about your role at AireSpring and how you support our partners.

At AireSpring, my focus is driving digital transformation and AI-based innovation across our platform and services. I’m passionate about developing next-generation capabilities that will elevate how we serve our partners and their customers.

In my role, I’m enhancing the performance of AireSpring’s operational systems: AireCare, AIreCONTROL, and the DAX platform, to deliver deeper insights and actionable intelligence to our partners. These improvements will enable our partners to proactively support their customers with better visibility, smarter analytics, and enhanced automation.

What do you like about working at AireSpring?

AireSpring’s fast-paced, dynamic environment is incredibly energizing. We’re agile, innovative, and able to pivot quickly to meet market needs creating the perfect environment for new ideas to thrive. Leading a technology-driven team here means there’s always an opportunity to push the boundaries of what’s possible. I also appreciate AireSpring’s collaborative culture. Everyone is willing to help and share knowledge, which is something you don’t always find at larger organizations.

What excites me most is AIreCONTROL, our AI-powered IT Service Management platform. It already provides a wealth of actionable data and insights to our partners and customers and we’re just getting started. As we continue to evolve, AIreCONTROL will become even more predictive and prescriptive, using additional AI and analytics to anticipate customer needs. I have extensive experience in the field of AI/ML and the opportunity and ability to apply that here at AireSpring is amazing. The foundation of any successful AI initiative is data, and with AIreCONTROL, we have that solid foundation.

Tell us about your hobbies/activities outside of work.

In my spare time, I like to watch sci-fi movies and listen to audiobooks, especially when I’m battling Atlanta traffic. I recently read both Steve Jobs’ and Elon Musk’s biographies, and I’m a big Stephen King fan.

I also enjoy playing with IoT technology, robotics, and prototyping widgets with 3D printing. My son got me to play competitive card games like Magic The Gathering and One Piece, a newer game that is getting popular. Because he doesn’t drive yet, I end up having to take him to competitions, and I end up playing as well, so I’ve gotten to know a lot of the players and people in the scene. The interesting thing about it is I end up spending a lot of time talking to the storekeepers that run these events, and the market is incredible for cards—it’s almost like its own stock market and they can make a lot of money.
