Airport Tasting Rooms on the Rise
The Westward Whiskey Tasting Room is hopping: People are browsing, tasting, buying. But this isn’t the producer’s distillery-side location in Portland, Oregon. It’s Concourse C at Portland International Airport. A growing number of beverage producers are opening up similar venues in or near airports, creating ideal spots to spend a layover, or to kick off or conclude a trip. (Wine Enthusiast)

New Riff Distilling Shares Barrels with 34 Kentucky Craft Brewers
New Riff Distilling, a Northern Kentucky distillery offering a new riff on American whiskey, announced that it is sharing barrels that formerly held New Riff Bourbon with 34 of the state’s top craft brewers. It marks New Riff Distilling’s first participation in the Kentucky Guild of Brewers’ Kentucky Craft Bash, where a single distillery donates barrels to be given a new life by brewers who will use them to barrel-age their brews. Jacksonville, Fla. Distillery Installs Solar Technology
A steam-boiler powered by new solar technology manufactured in Jacksonville is now being used to make whiskey, bourbon, vodka and rum at a local distillery. Jacksonville-based Arctic Solar recently installed the solar steam boiler, powered by its patented XCPC solar thermal collectors, at Four Fathers Distillery in Northwest Jacksonville. Harlem Haberdashery Launches Spirits
The family behind Harlem Haberdashery, the legendary New York City boutique known for its custom designs and hip-hop collaborations, is helping you toast to the new year. In collaboration with AstraLuna Brands, they have launched HH Bespoke Spirits, starting with small-batch gin, vodka and rum. The craft spirits are in beautifully designed bottles, of course. Florida's Point Distillery Gets Redevelopment Loan from County
Distributing rum and other liquor to locations outside the county makes a west Pasco distillery the kind of industry coveted by economic developers. The national and international exporting makes the Point Distillery at 11807 Little Road a so-called ‘’target industry,’’ and this week it received a first-of-its-kind loan from Pasco County to expand operations in an area earmarked for redevelopment. Portland, Oregon's East Side Distilling Acquires Craft Canning + Bottling
