Support Audio-Reader During One Day. One KU.

This Thursday!

One Day. One KU. is this Thursday, February 15, 2024! This one day can make a difference. We hope we can count on your support!

Last year, Audio-Reader had over 950 new smart speaker listeners, 55 new closed-circuit radio listeners, and thousands of calls to the Lions Telephone Reader service. We're thrilled to serve so many people across Kansas and western Missouri, but we need your help to continue providing quality services 24/7. Our 2024 One Day. One KU. campaign will go directly toward our mission by updating our operations equipment to continue keeping listeners connected and informed with the world around them.

We have $12,000 lined up in matching gifts and challenges during One Day. One KU! Your gift on that day will not only be matched dollar for dollar, but it will also count toward several challenges we have throughout the day! With each challenge that is met, additional donations are unlocked for Audio-Reader. Your support during One Day. One KU. will have 3x the impact!

Be sure to check your email and follow us along on social media during One Day. One KU. as we share stories of how your support makes a tremendous impact in the lives of so many. We look forward to seeing the impact just one day can make during One Day. One KU.

Massive Music Sale a

Massive Success!

The Lawrence Public Library Auditorium was packed for the Massive Music Sale hosted by Audio-Reader and the Lawrence Public Library Friends & Foundation on January 19 & 20! Hundreds of eager shoppers attended the two-day benefit sale, finding lots of great musical treasures. We want to give a big THANK YOU to everyone who volunteered, organized and shopped the sale. Together, we raised $22,500!! These crucial funds go directly to our mission of serving listeners across Kansas, Missouri and nationwide. The Lawrence Times featured an article recapping the success of the sale. You can read that article here. We would like to give a very special thank you to our audio equipment volunteers Ed Hawkins, Douglas May, Gordon Fitch and Dave Dunford and our vinyl volunteer Wake Mitchell. Their time, expertise and dedication make these sales a tremendous success!

In January, the Kansas Lions Sight Foundation renewed their support for Audio-Reader with a grant of $20,000.
