Join for a Coffee Break During One Day One KU

Kick off One Day One KU with us at Audio-Reader on Thursday, February 20, from 12-2pm! Enjoy a cup of coffee from Uplift Coffee on us and a station tour when you make a donation to Audio-Reader or Kansas Public Radio during One Day One KU. Spend time with our staff, learn more about our mission, and keep warm with a hot cup of joe—all while supporting great causes. We’d love to see you there as we kick off this special day of giving!

February Audio Sale a Huge Success!

Thanks to our amazing volunteers and partners, our February Audio Sale was a great success, raising over $16,000 to support Audio-Reader! We could not have done it without the hard work of our dedicated audio equipment volunteers, Ed Hawkins, Gordon Fitch, Douglas May and Dave Dunford, as well as our record volunteer Wake Mitchell. A special thanks to the volunteers from KU's Achievement & Assessment Institute, Delta Gamma Sorority, Triangle Fraternity, KJHK, and our wonderful partners at the Lawrence Public Library Friends & Foundation and Kansas Public Radio!

Why I Give: Kansas Lions Sight Foundation

We are thrilled to announce that the Kansas Lions Sight Foundation (KLSF) has renewed their support for Audio-Reader with a grant that has been going strong for 35+ years! This generous grant helps cover our satellite uplink fee, Large Print and Braille Program Guides, and subscription costs, ensuring that we can continue to provide vital services to our listeners.

“This is a service that is needed by so many. What they do is incredible, and that’s why we want to continue this partnership for many, many years.” KLSF President Deb Weaverling shared.
