In the Fall of 1980, Airways Freight Corporation was formally incorporated. Moving from
Caudle Freight Services to Airways Freight Corporation and changing its focus from a local pick up and delivery company to that of an air forwarder.
Over the years we have seen a lot of changes both in the industry and worldwide. Advances in technology may be the most apparent. In 1980, there was thermal paper fax machines, beepers, and a warehouse of paper. Today we work out of the cloud, constant use of cell phones, emails, and have tracking technology not dreamed of 45 years ago.
We have also evolved and expanded as a company. As ideas and opportunities were
brought to us by agents or cultivated in house, we moved into markets such as trade shows, utilities, anatomical, and aerospace. We have added additional services such as truckloads, full international services including ocean and customs brokerage, and most recently LTL options.
Through all the expansions and innovations, we are most proud of the continued heritage that Airways was built on and that we live every day, personalized customer service. Although we take advantage of all available technologies and continue to build on them, we still do things on a person-to-person basis. You’ll always talk to a professional that knows your business and is able to fulfill your requests and to answer your questions.
We are proud of our 45 years of business and proud of our employees, sales agents,
vendors and customers that put their confidence in Airways daily.
