Roots2Stem Lab
As part of our ongoing efforts to incorporate real life learning
opportunities into our curriculum, we are excited to let you know that as part of our science curriculum, students in Grades 5-8 will be attending the Roots2Stem STEM lab located at 11410 27 St SE #38, for a series of sessions on Mechanical Engineering in the month of November on November 5,12 and 19.
We are looking to raise funds to enable our students to continue going
to the lab in the months of December or January to learn about
Aeronautical and Mechantronic Engineering. If you are interested in
sponsoring a session ($350) or know of any donors who might be
interested, please be in touch with Rabbi Greenwald.
We are very grateful to Mr. Richard Douglass and Foothills
Transportation who will be transporting the students in his chartered
bus at no cost.
Thank you so much to Mrs. Kostousov for arranging this excellent
opportunity for our students.
Happy Birthday this week!

Gr 1 & 5-8 Judaics Collaboration
Ms. Delaney's Kindergarten class teamed up with Rabbi Halpern's Grade 2 and learned all about Avraham and Sarah's journey from Charan to Eretz Cana'an. Each group received a map and identified the flags, flora, and fauna of the modern day countries of Turkey, Syria, and Israel, which were along the route. It was fun to think about how Avraham and Sarah may have seen some of these very same animals and flowers on their trip!
Thank you to Ms. Delaney and Kindergarten for hosting us!
