On Monday, October 1, 2018, Akorbi sent a notice to Mercy Care providers that contained incorrect information about their availability to provide interpretation services to ACC members enrolled with Mercy Care.
This communication was in error.
- Akorbi will continue to provide interpretation services for Mercy Care Complete Care and Mercy Care RBHA members.
- Mercy Care members can continue to use Akorbi for language interpretation services.
- All appointments already scheduled with Akorbi will remain.
- Akorbi is accepting new language interpretation appointments for Mercy Care members.
Akorbi schedulers will be asking providers who call to schedule interpretation services if the member is enrolled with Mercy Care. If the member is not enrolled with Mercy Care, the provider will be instructed to contact the member’s health plan to proceed with scheduling interpretation services.
