ORDINANCE NO. 219-2023 changing the name of Portage Trail Extension West to West Portage Trail; and declaring an emergency. Vote: Ayes: 12, Nays: 0.
ORDINANCE NO. 220-2023 authorizing the Director of the Department of Planning and Urban Development to enter into an agreement or agreements with local agencies to carry out the Emergency Solutions Grant Program for program year 2023 authorizing payment therefor; all in furtherance with Mayor Horrigan’s objective of supporting local emergency and transitional homeless shelters to provide shelter and supportive services to homeless individuals and families and to prevent an individual or family from moving into an emergency shelter through housing prevention, relocation and stabilization services; and declaring an emergency. Vote: Ayes: 12, Nays: 0.
ORDINANCE NO. 229-2023 authorizing a Conditional Use to install continuous curb less parking at 274 Park Street; and declaring an emergency. Vote: Ayes: 12, Nays: 0.
ORDINANCE NO. 232-2023 authorizing the Mayor, or his designee, to enter into a contract or contracts, without the formality of advertising for bids, with RIP Medical Debt for the purchase of services to assist residents of the City to obtain relief from medical debts; and declaring an emergency. Vote: Ayes: 12, Nays: 0. As discussed during the Committee meeting, there is no application process. RIP Medical Debt will work directly with the hospitals.
RESOLUTION NO. 243-2023 opposing and objecting to the transfer application of B & C Akron Enterprises LTD, DBA Brandy’s Sports Bar, 1890 S. Arlington Street, Akron, Ohio 44306 for a Class D1, D3 and D3a liquor permit (0346772) now pending before the Division of Liquor Control; and declaring an emergency. Vote: Ayes: 12, Nays: 0.
