Alabama Board of Pharmacy Proposing Two Compounding Rules
Comments Open Until August 4, 2017

IACP Alabama Members:

The Alabama Board of Pharmacy is proposing two rules pertaining to compounding. The first clarifies guidelines for compounding parenteral sterile therapy. 

The second would require pharmacists and pharmacies engaged in compounding to comply with all current and applicable U.S. Pharmacopeial Convention (USP) requirements including USP Chapter <800>. 

Please note - Comments for both proposed rules are due by August 4, 2017.
