2017 Fall Semester Internships
Over the course of our Fall internships, where students were allowed to work 20 hours per week, interns logged a total of 6,660 hours for the semester. This fall we had 28 i nterns at 10 different companies.
Sydney Whetstone has been an intern with the APC since Spring 2016. She currently is in graduate school pursuing a MPH in Environmental Health & Toxicology from The University of Alabama - Birmingham (UAB). Click on her video above to see some of the projects she has worked on over the past few semesters.  
2018 Spring Internships
This Spring Semester we will have 28 interns at 10 different companies with our students spread throughout the State of Alabama.
Interested in a 2018 Summer intern?
Internship Dates: May 14th - August 10th
Contact the APC regarding your project needs and your interest in having an intern. We will be happy to come and meet with you to discuss your project and how our program can assist you in reaching your goals.

Based on your project requirements, the APC will recruit, select the best candidates and send you their resumes for review. The selection process is up to you. We encourage our clients to interview the candidates, however, that is not a requirement.

T he Alabama Productivity Center is currently partnering with The University of South Alabama, The University of Alabama at Birmingham and The University of Alabama in Huntsville in order to give students the opportunity to take what they have learned in the classroom and put it into practice creating win-win situations for both the company and the student.

ISO 9001:2015 & ISO 14001:2015 Implementation 
The deadline for 9001:2015 & 14001:2015 standards is September 2018 !!
The APC provides assistance updating your Environmental Management System to be compliant to the changes in the ISO 14001:2015 Standard. Services include implementation assistance and training. Implementation assistance includes a gap analysis to evaluate effectiveness of current EMS, developing and/or updating EMS documentation to address changes in the standard, developing a correlation matrix, and internal auditor training. Other training offered includes problem solving, management overview, transition and risk-based thinking.
The APC also provides assistance updating your Quality Management System to be compliant to the changes in the ISO 9001:2015 Standard. Services include implementation assistance and training. Implementation assistance includes a gap analysis to evaluate effectiveness of current QMS, developing and/or updating QMS documentation to address changes in the standard, developing a correlation matrix, and internal auditor training. Industry News
Toyota-Mazda select Huntsville for $1.4 billion manufacturing plant with 4,000 jobs. The site is set to be just 14 miles from the Toyota Motor Manufacturing of Alabama plant. Production is expected to begin by 2021.


$204 Million dollars along with 1,056 jobs have been added in Montgomery in the year 2017 per the Montgomery Chamber of Commerce.
