Greetings!
The staff at the Alabama Productivity Center would like to thank you for your support in our efforts to increase Alabama's productivity. This Summer has been very busy for us, please check out below to see what has been going on.

ASK marked the official grand opening of its new headquarters. The company invested $2.7 million to renovate the former Brunswick Woodmere Lanes bowling alley on Carmichael Road, a move that led to the creation of new jobs. in 2016, ASK announced that over a two-year period it would be adding more than 400 jobs, bringing its total workforce to over 600 employees.
Continental Motors Group Ltd (CMG), an AVIC International Holding Corporation company, announced Tuesday, September 11th, that it signed a Letter of Intent with Stonemont Financial Group and Clayco, Inc. to develop its new state of the art headquarters at the Mobile Aeroplex in Mobile, AL.

The Alabama Productivity Center is currently partnering with The University of South Alabama and The University of Alabama at Birmingham in order to give students the opportunity to take what they have learned in the classroom and put it into practice creating win-win situations for both the company and the student. We currently have three USA students and two UAB students interning for the Fall 2017 Semester.

2017 Summer Semester Internships
|
|
|
Over the course of our Summer Internships, students were allowed to work 40 hours per week. This summer we had
25 interns at 13 different companies
with 11 in the Tuscaloosa area, 7 in Mobile, 4 in Birmingham and 3 in Huntsville, AL.
|
|
|

This Fall Semester we will have 25 interns at 12 different companies with 17 in the Tuscaloosa area, 4 in the Mobile area, 3 in the Birmingham area, and 1 in Huntsville area.

&
ISO 14001:2015
Implementation
|
|
|
The APC provides assistance updating your Environmental Management System to be compliant to the changes in the ISO 14001:2015 Standard. Services include implementation assistance and training. Implementation assistance includes a gap analysis to evaluate effectiveness of current EMS, developing and/or updating EMS documentation to address changes in the standard, developing a correlation matrix, and internal auditor training. Other training offered includes problem solving, management overview, transition and risk-based thinking.

Other training offered includes problem solving, management overview, transition and risk-based thinking.
