Alachua County Supervisor of Elections advises voters to be aware of polling place changes

ALACHUA COUNTY, Fla. (March 2, 2020) — Five Alachua County polling places have moved locations for the 2020 Presidential Preference Primary and City of Gainesville Regular Election. Of those, four are moving permanently and is moving only for this election.

Precincts 21, 23, 25, 55 and 57 are the precincts affected by the change.

PRECINCT 21 — Former site no longer wishes to serve as polling place
Prior Location : Z.L. Sung Seventh-Day Adventist School (2115 NW 39th Avenue, Gainesville)
New Location : North Central Florida YMCA (5201 NW 34th Boulevard, Gainesville)

PRECINCT 23 — Temporary change for this election due to construction
Prior Location : City College (2400 SW 13th Street, Gainesville)
New Location : American Cancer Society Hope Lodge (2121 SW 16th Street, Gainesville)

PRECINCT 25 — Former site under construction
Prior Location : Santa Fe College Center for Innov. & Econ. Development (530 West University Avenue, Gainesville)
New Location : Santa Fe College Blount Center (401 NW 6th Street, Gainesville)

PRECINCT 55 — Former site used as emergency operations center
Prior Location : City Public Works Administration Building (405 NW 39th Avenue, Gainesville)
New Location : Gateway Christian Center (5135 NW 21st Street, Gainesville)

PRECINCT 57 — Former site no longer wishes to serve as polling place
Prior Location : Z.L. Sung Seventh-Day Adventist School (2115 NW 39th Avenue, Gainesville)
New Location : Creekside Community Church (2640 NW 39th Avenue, Gainesville)

Voters must vote in the polling place to which they are assigned on Election Day. During early voting, which will run March 6 through March 14, voters may use any one of the six Alachua County early voting sites.

All early voting sites (listed below) are open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. every day.
