President Donald Trump issued several Executive Orders (EOs) directing a review of the disbursement of certain federal funds. It is our understanding programs providing direct benefits to individuals are not subject to the pause and that federal OMB is working quickly with their agency partners to evaluate programs. We are awaiting further guidance from federal OMB and continuing to assess potential impacts as further information is released.


Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) Amends $9.6 Billion Bridge Investment Program (BIP) NOFO for Large Bridge Projects for FYs 2023-2026 Applications for FY 2025 funds, which were due August 1, 2024, will need to be amended by June 16, 2025, per the revised NOFO.


The office of Infrastructure weekly email will be taking a one-week break, it will resume the week of June 16th.

AK Dept. of Transportation - EMS Extrication Tools Assistance Project, Deadline June 16, 2025. Eligible entities: Fire departments or EMS agency. If your agency provides EMS or fire services in a rural or remote area of Alaska, we invite you to apply for an extrication equipment package customized to your operational needs.


AK Dept. of Commerce, Community, and Economic Development – International Trade Assistance Grant, Deadline: Grants can be used for eligible export events, including travel, completed before September 29, 2025. Eligible entities include for-profit Alaskan small businesses. The program helps businesses enter and expand into international markets by offsetting the cost of certain export-related expenses through reimbursement-style grants. Funds can be used for international trade show exhibitions, participation in export training workshops, payment of international website fees, design of international marketing media, subscription services provided by the U.S. Department of Commerce, procurement of international consultancy services, or participation in foreign trade missions.

Dept. of Transportation - Regional Infrastructure Accelerator Program, Deadline June 16, 2025. Eligible entities: State govt; Local govt; Tribes; Others. The program funds technical resources, planning, and project development to expedite regional transportation infrastructure through innovative financing and delivery methods, including public-private partnerships.


Dept. of Agriculture - Hazardous Fuels Transportation Assistance Grants, Deadline June 20, 2025. Eligible entities: State govt; Local govts; Tribes; Universities; Non-profits; or For-profits. This grant supports the transport of hazardous fuels materials to facilities for processing into wood products and energy. Successful applicants must demonstrate how transportation costs have become the limiting factor that is impeding the removal and transportation of hazardous fuels off of/adjacent to Forest Service lands.


Dept. of Transportation - FY2025 Commercial Motor Vehicle Operator Safety Training Program (CMVOST), Deadline June 20, 2025. Eligible entities: State govt; Local govts; Tribes; Universities; Non-profits; or others. To solicit applications from organizations that provide commercial motor vehicle (CMV) operator training.

 

Dept. of Transportation - FY2025 High Priority Program-Commercial Motor Vehicle (HP-CMV), Deadline June 20, 2025. Eligible entities: State govt; Local govts; Tribes; Universities; Non-profits; or others. To solicit applications from eligible entities to support High Priority-Commercial Motor Vehicle (HP-CMV) program activities.

 

Dept. of Transportation - FY 2025 Competitive Academic Agreement Program (CAAP), Deadline June 20, 2025. Eligible entities: Universities. Provides funding for research pursuing innovative solutions for five topics in pipeline safety and integrity challenge areas.


Dept. of Transportation – Safe Streets and Roads for All, Deadlines, Pre-application Action Plan May 9, 2025, Application June 26, 2025. Eligible entities: Local govts; Tribes; Universities; School districts. To be awarded on a competitive basis to support planning and demonstration activities, as well as projects and strategies to prevent death and serious injury on roads and streets involving all roadway users.


Dept. of Housing and Urban Development - Continuum of Care Builds (CoC Builds), Deadline June 26, 2025. Eligible entities: State govt; Local govts; Tribes; Non-profits; Housing authorities; or others. Funding for construction, acquisition, or rehabilitation of new units of PSH specifically for individuals and families experiencing homelessness where one member of the household has a disability.


Dept. of Agriculture - Farmers Market Promotion Program Fiscal Year 2025, Deadline June 27, 2025. Eligible entities: State govt; Local Govt; Tribes; Non-profits; others. For projects that develop, coordinate, and expand direct producer-to-consumer markets to help increase access to and availability of locally and regionally produced agricultural products.

 

Dept. of Agriculture - Local Food Promotion Program Fiscal Year 2025, Deadline June 27, 2025. Eligible entities: State govt; Local govts; Tribes; Non-profits; others. For projects that develop, coordinate, and expand local and regional food business enterprises that engage as intermediaries in indirect producer to consumer marketing to help increase access to and availability of locally and regionally produced agricultural products.

 

Dept. of Agriculture - Regional Food System Partnerships, Deadline June 27, 2025. Eligible entities: State govt; Local govts; Tribes; Non-profits; others. Supports partnerships that connect public and private resources to plan and develop local or regional food systems. The RFSP focuses on building and strengthening local or regional food economy viability and resilience.


Dept. of Energy - Collaborations Advancing Rapid Load Additions (CARLA), Due dates Concept Paper June 30, 2025, Application TBD. Eligible entities: Domestic state entity - must have demonstrated energy system, project development, and project finance expertise. Initial funding opportunity for collaboratives to develop new approaches and frameworks for system planning, cost recovery, and risk allocation for electricity demand growth.


Dept. of Defense - Defense Community Infrastructure Program, Deadline July 3, 2025. Eligible entities: State govt; Local govt; others. To assist State governments, local governments, and not-for-profit, member-owned utility services to address deficiencies in community infrastructure supportive of a military installation.” Community Infrastructure projects are transportation projects, community support facilities ( e.g. schools; hospitals; police, fire, or emergency response), and utility infrastructure projects (e.g., water, wastewater, telecommunications, electric and natural gas facilities) that are located off of a military installation of on property under the jurisdiction of a Secretary of a military department that is subject to a real estate agreement (including a lease or easement), and are owned by a state or local government or a not-for-profit, member-owned utility service.

 

Dept. of Defense - Community Noise Mitigation Program, Deadline July 9, 2025. Eligible entities: State govt; Local govt; or Tribes. For the selection of noise mitigation project(s) under the Community Noise Mitigation Program, which is intended to facilitate the installation of sound insulation in covered facilities.


Dept. of Interior - F26AS00004 - NAWCA 2026-1 US Standard Grants, Deadline July 10, 2025. Eligible entities: State govts; Local govts; Tribes; Universities; others. Protecting and managing the nation's natural resources by collaborating with partners and stakeholders to conserve land and water and to expand outdoor recreation and access.


Dept. of Transportation - Fiscal Year 2025 Competitive Funding Opportunity: Low- or No-Emission Program, Deadline July 14, 2025. Eligible entities: State govt; Local govt, or Tribes. For the purchase or lease of zero-emission and low-emission transit buses, including acquisition, construction, and leasing of required supporting facilities.


Dept. of Transportation - Fiscal Year 2025 Competitive Funding Opportunity: Buses and Bus Facilities Program, Deadline July 14, 2025. Eligible entities: State govt; Local govt, or Tribes. To assist in the financing of buses and bus facilities capital projects, including replacing, rehabilitating, purchasing or leasing buses or related equipment, and rehabilitating, purchasing, constructing or leasing bus-related facilities.


Dept. of Transportation - Fiscal Year 2025 United States Marine Highway Program (USMHP), Deadline July 15, 2025. Eligible entities: State govt; Local govts; Tribes; Non-profits; For-profits or others. To make grants to implement Projects or components of Projects that 1) provide a coordinated and capable alternative to landside transportation; mitigate or relieve landside congestion; promote Marine Highway Transportation; or use vessels documented under 46 U.S.C. chapter 121; and 2) develop, expand, or promote Marine Highway Transportation or shipper use of Marine Highway Transportation.


Dept. of Energy - Energy Technology Innovation Partnership Project: Coastal, Remote, and Island Community Technical Assistance, Deadline July 27, 2025. Eligible entities: Local govt; Tribes; Special purpose district; Non-profit; others. To help U.S. coastal, remote, and island communities become more energy resilient.


Dept. of Transportation - FY 2024-2026 Wildlife Crossings Pilot Program, Deadline August 1, 2025 (opens May 1, 2025). Eligible entities: State Dot; Local govts; Tribes; others. For projects that seek to achieve a reduction in the number of wildlife-vehicle collisions; and improve habitat connectivity for terrestrial and aquatic species.


Dept. of Transportation - Fiscal Year (FY) 2023 – 2026 Bridge Investment Program, Large Bridge Project Grants, Deadline August 1, 2025. Eligible entities: State govts; Local govts; Tribes; others. To solicit applications for Large Bridge Project grants (a project with total eligible costs greater than $100 million) for awards under the Bridge Investment Program (BIP).


Dept. of Transportation - Port Infrastructure Development Program (PIDP), Deadline September 10, 2025. Eligible entities: State govt; Local govt; Tribes; Others. Assists in funding eligible projects for the purpose of improving the safety, efficiency, or reliability of the movement of goods through ports and intermodal connections to ports.


Department of Homeland Security - Fiscal Year 2025 Safeguarding Tomorrow through Ongoing Risk Mitigation Revolving Loan Fund Program, Deadline Sep 30, 2025. Eligible entities: State govts; Tribes; Others. To capitalize or recapitalize entity-established revolving loan funds that will provide low-interest loans to local governments most in need of financing assistance to complete hazard mitigation projects and activities. The program aims to reduce risks from natural hazards for homeowners, businesses, nonprofit organizations, and communities in order to decrease the loss of life and property, the cost of insurance, and federal disaster payments.
