Summer, 2023 Tryout Announcement
Albany Power Summer 2022 Tryouts
Dear Parents,

Albany Power is happy to announce tryouts for the 2023 Summer Program. The 2023 Power program will operate under a hybrid club model... promoting full year programs for competitive athletes that maintains respect for the sanctity of scholastic sports.

We believe that this model will provide the right amount of practice, competition, and rest to allow players and programs in Section II to grow while also maintaining strong relationships with school sports, promoting life-long friendships and player skill that can be showcased at the highest level of high school and college lacrosse.

For 15 years, Albany Power has provided players in The Capital Region with this highest level of instruction and support, and we are excited for the opportunity to work with your son this year!
2023 Summer Tryout- Girls 2024-2030, Boys 2024-2032
Tryouts will be held on Wednesday, July 27th and Monday, August 1st.

Summer 2023 Tryout Dates: 
Wednesday, July 27th
Monday, August 1st

Boys Tryout: 2028- 2032: 3:00PM-5:00PM
Boys Tryout: 2024-2027: 5:00PM-7:00PM

Girls Tryout: 2024-2026: 5:00PM-6:40PM
Girls Tryout: 2027-2030: 6:40PM-8:20PM

Location: Afrim's Sports Park: 969 Watervliet Shaker Rd, Colonie, NY 12205

*We encourage players to attend both tryouts, providing our coaching staff of NYS Certified teachers and coaches, along with former standout players from all across college lacrosse, the best opportunity to evaluate your child.

In the event that you cannot attend either tryout, please use the registration form to let us know that you will not be in attendance.

*Tryout cost is $80, payable by check or cash on 7/27. We cannot prorate the tryout fee for players attending only a single practice.

The cost of the summer program will be tiered for players.

Boys Program Cost:
2024-2026: $1,600
2027-2028: $1,400
2029-2031: $990
2032: $650 (2 Tournaments)

Girls Program Cost:
2024-2026- $1,600 with winter included
2027-2028- $1,400 with winter included
2029-2030- $990 with winter included
**2030 is the youngest girls division

*There will be an additional cost for eligible 2027 and 2028 boys players who participate in the World Series Qualifier in March.
2022 Fall and Winter Sessions
Fall and Winter Sessions this year will be open only to players rostered on Albany Power Summer 2023 Teams and 2023 graduating seniors.


Fall 2022- Sunday evening practices at Schenectady High School throughout September and October. The program cost is $295.

These sessions have been specifically scheduled to avoid scholastic sports. Players will participate in a combination of practice and training model experiences that will optimize player skill through repetition and specific skills training. We do not usually travel to tournaments with our boys programs in the fall out of respect for the high school programs. Our Power Girls Program will sometimes schedule a fall tournament individually once fall registration is established and teams are made.

Winter 2022/2023- Sunday morning practices at Afrim's Dome in Latham. These sessions will look similar to our regular winter session with the addition of opportunities for box lacrosse and individual, small group, instruction throughout the winter. Registration will open for this program in October when team announcements are made.
