FREE STREET TREE PLANTING, APPLICATIONS DUE OCT 31

Did you know that individual property owners can apply to have a free street tree planted by the City in the public right-of-way adjacent to their property? The City waives fees for new street tree planting and any associated concrete removal to create new planting basins.

Street tree planting applications are due at the end of the month.

Benefits of trees:

Trees and the urban forest provide a variety of important benefits to the urban environment. Benefits include removing carbon from the atmosphere, reducing energy use, improving air quality, moderating stormwater flows, protecting water quality, improving economic sustainability, and providing habitat for wildlife. Trees and urban forests also support the physical and mental health of residents.
