The National Digital Inclusion Alliance (NDIA) has recognized Albemarle County as a 2023 Digital Inclusion Trailblazer. Principles of Trailblazer recognition include setting a national standard for excellent digital inclusion work, as well as promoting the work of local governments to empower our communities. This recognition highlights some of the work of our organization as we continue to embrace the power of technology to bridge divides and empower lives through digital inclusion. We’re all seeking to make a difference, one connection at a time. Here are some key milestones to support these initiatives:

Learn more about accessibility and affordability from our Broadband Accessibility and Affordability Office. If you have not signed up for ACP and want to learn more about how you can save on the monthly cost of broadband or to check your eligibility and enroll in the program with a participating provider, visit www.GetInternet.gov.

Have you heard about the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) Bridge Program?

The Broadband Accessibility and Affordability Office (BAAO) launched the ACP Bridge Program to increase broadband savings for eligible households and promote digital inclusion throughout the county. Broadband is an essential part of our daily lives. We want to make affording monthly broadband costs easier.

Albemarle County is providing up to an additional $20 per month for Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) beneficiaries in the County. If you have already signed up for ACP and still have monthly charges after the benefit, consider applying by clicking on the flyer below to learn about the ACP Bridge Program.

If you have not signed up for ACP and want to learn more about how you can save on the monthly cost of broadband, go to GetInternet.gov.
