Thank you to those who attended the July 31st “Love Your Covered Bridge” day at Sawmill Creek Covered Bridge! The community gathering was well attended. Thank you to those who donated funds to the Forestdale Manor to support outings and activities for the residents, as well as donations made to the Albert County Museum supporting our Court House restoration project.

Meet the Sea Captain and join us for the “Living by the Sea” Children’s Festival at the Albert County Museum! This event is being held during two days – August 12 & 13, 2022 from 10am to 3pm daily. The Children’s Festival includes entertainment, music, games, museum exhibits and book reading presentations.  Participation in the Children’s Festival is included with regular paid admission to the Museum by parents, grandparents or guardians. (Please note: children must be supervised by the responsible adult). The Festival is a wonderful opportunity for family fun! 


All children attending  receive a special gift!  Join us Rain or Shine!

Admission can be purchased in person before or during the event dates, or in advance online: https://www.albertcountymuseum.com/onlinegiftshop. Rates are $10 for adults, $8 for students and seniors, and $25 for a family. Children under 5 years old attend for free with paid admissions. Group rates available for 8 or more people.

 

A special lunch will be available for purchase including hot dogs, sub sandwiches, cupcakes, fruit cups and drinks (vegetarian and gluten free options available). You are welcome to bring your own lunch for your children.

New Video on Prime Minister R.B. Bennett Released


Meet Prime Minister R.B. Bennett, the only New Brunswick - born Prime Minister of Canada (English Version). This video was funded by NB Heritage Branch and produced by the Albert County Historical Society for the 2022 NB Heritage Fair and Heritage Studies in NB schools.

Presenting the "$60 for 60 Years" Campaign!


As a special souvenir of our 60th Anniversary, the Albert County Historical Society is pleased to present this special package for purchase. Included for $60 is a custom designed ornament crafted by NB based Aitken Pewter, a membership to the Society which includes a 2022 season’s pass to the Museum, and an income tax receipt for $25. In the case of a family membership, the tax receipt is for $15. Additional ornaments are for sale for $25 in the Gift Shop.


You are invited to top up your donation for an increased tax receipt with funds going towards preserving the “Shiretown” buildings and the Museum’s collections. Purchases can be made in person or on the ACM website for on site pick up. Or, for a small fee, the ornament and tax receipt may be mailed to any address in Canada.
