A Yoga and Mindfulness Workshop took place on

The next colloquium in the 2019-2020 series will take place on Tuesday,

| Jean Alberti Receives Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award |
 Congratulations to Dr. Jean M. Alberti, Alberti Center benefactor, on being the recipient of the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award! This honor, presented by Marquis Who's Who, is reserved for individuals who have achieved career longevity and demonstrated unwavering excellence in their chosen fields. This year marks the 10th Anniversary of the opening of the Alberti Center for Bullying Abuse Prevention which Dr. Alberti considers her legacy. Stop by the Alberti Center to see the plaque she received.

The Alberti Center had some new students join the research team beginning in the fall semester! Amanda Breese, Hannah Grossman and Abbey McClemont, are doctoral students in the combined counseling & school psychology program, and Samantha Stanford is a doctoral student in the school psychology program at UB. Chunyan Yang, PhD is the recipient of the Alberti Center 2019 Early Career Award! This award is presented to an individual who has made
exemplary scholarly contributions to the field of bullying abuse prevention and conducted research that has the potential to influence practice and policy.
Dr.
Yang is an Assistant Professor in the Graduate School of Education at University of California at Berkeley. Learn more about her on our website!

| NAB IT! Research Study |
The Alberti Center recently launched a project, funded by the Institute of Education Sciences, called Creating Upstanders: The Development of Norms And Bystander Intervention Training (NAB IT!) to Reduce Bullying and Sexual Harassment. A survey on bullying and harassment was administered in November to about 250 students at Williamsville East High School. The information gathered in that survey is being used to create posters and other media that will be part of a campaign to engage and support high school students in developing positive, healthy peer relationships. Students will be engaged in providing feedback through focus groups to finalize the materials for the campaign this spring. Learn about other research projects the Alberti Center is working on here!
