More knowledgeable and well-equipped to handle instances of bullying. Learned how to speak to parents and students about instances of bullying, and to understand my own biases of others.

NAB IT! Research Study
The Alberti Center recently launched a project, funded by the Institute of Education Sciences, called Creating Upstanders: The Development of Norms And Bystander Intervention Training (NAB IT!) to Reduce Bullying and Sexual Harassment. A survey on bullying and harassment was administered in November to about 250 students at Williamsville East High School. The information gathered in that survey is being used to create posters and other media that will be part of a campaign to engage and support high school students in developing positive, healthy peer relationships. Students will be engaged in providing feedback through focus groups to finalize the materials for the campaign this spring. Learn about other research projects the Alberti Center is working on here!
