New Call for Artists!
Tamarind Print Workshop
with Artist Luis Fitch
A Limited-Edition Lithography Project in Partnership with the Tamarind Institute and Luis Fitch
The Public Art Program and the Tamarind Institute have partnered to offer a special printing and mentorship workshop with Luis Fitch. Luis is an internationally renowned artist, designer, mentor, and creative entrepreneur as well as the founder of UNO Branding a multicultural, strategic visual communication agency.

Three local artists will be selected for this hands on workshop with Luis and to print at Tamarind with current student printers. Artists who work in any medium are encouraged to apply.

Additional project elements includes an exhibition by Luis Fitch with the three selected printmakers; a possible mural at the South Broadway Cultural Center; a public workshop on wheat paste printing and stencil making at the South Broadway Cultural Center; and an arts business development review with UNM art students.

Urban Enhancement Trust Fund FY24-25 Application Now Open!
The UETF Committee and Division staff are excited to announce that the application portal for the FY 24-25 Urban Enhancement Trust Fund is live. Funding criteria and amounts per organization are expected to remain similar to the previous cycle (no more than $15,000 per organization).

Public Art Offices Are Moving!
The Public Art Urban Enhancement Division will be moving offices at the end of January 2023.
The temporary Public Art offices will be in the basement of City Hall. Please note that staff will have intermittent access to email and phones during the move.

Artist INC Express Free Workshops
Mid-America Arts Alliance, in partnership with New Mexico Arts present Artist INC Express workshops for creatives across New Mexico. Artist INC Express is a virtual weekend intensive workshop designed to address the specific professional and entrepreneurial challenges that artists of all disciplines face in their practices.

The workshops are free to all New Mexico artists and creatives. Each workshop series has a maximum of 20 participants.

Call for Poster Artists
2023 AfroMundo Festival: Resistance & Creativity
Are you a BIPOC artist, 24 years old or under? AfroMundo, a non-profit, seeks two young artists to create original poster art on the theme of "Resistance & Creativity." Submitted art will be used to promote the 2023 Afro-Latinx Festival.

This Festival is a multidisciplinary Arts & Humanities series that includes music, dance, literature, panel discussions, and much more to explore the complexities of Latinidad. Featured regions include Peru, Honduras, Brazil & the United States.

AfroMundo welcomes applications across genders, abilities, sexual orientations, religions, and beliefs. There is NO FEE to submit an entry.

Two (2) Prizes of $500 each

2023 Multicultural Arts Festival
The Singing Arrow Community Center is seeking artists and artists teams to display art for the "Colors of the World" theme to educate the community through local art representing artists' culture and background.

Display and/or sell artwork encompassing a richness of culture and showing the diversity of Albuquerque. This is not a juried event and application spots are limited.
