Street Sweeping

Chicago utilizes mechanical street sweepers to remove debris and litter from streets. Bright orange temporary parking restrictions are posted the day before sweeping service is scheduled to ensure curb-to-curb cleaning. Some arterial streets have permanently posted signs that specify a once-per-week period when parking is prohibited for street sweeping.   For more information and to see The City of Chicago Street Sweeping Schedules  Click Here.

If you want to know all your sweeping dates for the entire season visit  https://sweeparound.us   . This is a great way tool to obtain the exact scheduled dates for your street to avoid tickets.

Please contact The 38th Ward Office for further assistance 773-283-3838.

To avoid a ticket and allow street sweepers to thoroughly clean streets pay close attention for these signs posted either on side streets or main streets.

OUR LADY OF VICTORY
RELIGIOUS EDUCATION PROGRAM

Big Brothers Big Sisters is a free community based mentoring program for
children age 7-14. Volunteers are 21+ and are thoroughly trained in how to
mentor a child. Spending one-on-one time in the local community is
primarily how the relationship develops. Bigs and Littles do everyday
activities that provide children with the opportunity to discover a world
of possibilities for their life. Matches will meet 2-4 times a month with
pick up and drop off at the child's home. Each match is unique and creates
a schedule that works for them, and our professionally trained staff
provide support and outing ideas during the entire duration of the match.
Please contact Casey at 779-800-9136 or nunes@bbbschgo.org for more information.
