Bally's Tribune Casino Proposal Survey
Please click here to take a brief survey about the Bally’s Tribune proposal. The survey will end TODAY at 5pm.

If you were unable to attend the community meeting to learn more about the Bally's proposed Casino at the Tribune Publishing site you can watch the presentation here. For more information about the casino proposals, please click here to read previous Reilly Reports.

Alderman Reilly has heard from many constituents regarding the Bally's Tribune proposal. Please take the survey above to voice your opinion. New As-of-Right Development Proposal
MAVREK Development proposes to construct a new mixed use development at 218 East Grand Avenue (commonly known as 535 North St. Clair Street). The site is currently a three-story parking garage containing 255 parking spaces.
As proposed, the mixed use building, designed by NORR, contains 248 residential apartments, almost 7,958 square feet of retail space on the ground-floor (which could also be used for a restaurant), 41,127 square feet of office space, 100 accessory parking spaces, 124 bicycle parking spaces, a private dog run, and a rooftop amenity pool deck.

Parking and loading dock access is proposed via St. Clair Street, consistent with the existing parking structure. The residential lobby is planned on Grand Avenue with the office lobby accessible on St. Clair Street. A multi-story podium base contains the lobby elements, leasing offices, residence support spaces, bike parking, street front retail and 2 ½ levels of parking. Click here to review the project details
In order to best conceal the parking, these two floors are clad with translucent glass and contain a knee wall to block headlights. At Alderman Reilly's direction, the number of parking spaces was reduced from 138 to 100 spaces. Click here to review the proposed development traffic study.

The developers are not seeking any zoning relief, and plan to develop the site under the existing zoning rights which govern their property. As an as-of-right development, this project does not require Alderman Reilly's approval.

As part of Alderman Reilly's transparent community process for new developments, your comments and observations are welcome for this project. Please click here to provide your feedback.

Street Sweeping Reminder
The Chicago Department of Streets and Sanitation (DSS) will resume their seasonal street sweeping schedule, which began April 1st, and lasts through mid-November or later, weather permitting. Throughout the season, DSS deploys mechanical street sweepers at regularly scheduled times to clear debris from Chicago streets. Starting today, dozens of street sweepers will begin to clear the debris and leaves that have accumulated during winter months on both residential and arterial streets.

On weekdays, from 9am to 2pm, this Sweeper Tracker map will show real-time locations of city street sweepers. For more information, please review the 42nd Ward street sweeping schedule. Residents can also call 311 to find the dates and locations of street sweeping in their area.

Please check for the bright orange signs announcing temporary parking restrictions. These signs are posted two days prior to scheduled street sweeping events. Some streets also have permanently posted signs that specify a once-per-week period when parking is prohibited for street sweeping.
