This past week, U.S. public health officials' guidance on mask-wearing shifted to once again recommend mask-wearing in public indoor settings even for vaccinated people. This change relates increased COVID-19 cases from the highly transmissible Delta variant now prevalent in the U.S.
In keeping with Aldersgate's Plan for Congregational Health and Safety During the COVID-19 Pandemic, we want our actions to be grounded in love and respectful of differing opinions. While masks are not required for indoor Aldersgate services, masks will be available in the foyer for everyone. Don't hesitate to grab one on your way into the sanctuary and slip it on if it might help diminish any uneasiness a mask-wearing friend might have by being in the minority.
