Water Main Break on Altamont Avenue

• Please be advised that a water main break was discovered this afternoon in front of 142 Altamont Avenue.
• The Department of Public Works is currently working on a repair.
• The road is closed between Rosehill Avenue and Highland Avenue during construction but remains accessible for emergency vehicles.
• Altamont Avenue from Rosehill to Highland will experience periodic interruptions of water supply. 
• Public Works crews will work on this break until repair is made. Should there be no unforeseen complications, we anticipate full restoration of water service by tomorrow morning. 
• Once the repair is complete and water service is fully restored, effected households should run their taps for 5-10 minutes until the water runs clear.
