Alex Mikhailuk has been training at ACE since she was 12 years old under the direction of Head Coach Mike Hall. With her independent work ethic and self motivated desire to improve, Alex has been a fixture at the Cedar Springs Health Racquet and Sportsclub over the past 6 years. Often described by the members as a polite and respectful student, Alex has made the ACE family proud - not only for her on court accomplishments, but her off court behaviour as well. Coach Hall - “What I am most proud of Alex for is the way other coaches, players, and parents speak of her. She is a true champion in this regard, and a true example of what our ACE values stand for.” Mikhailuk signed with Mississippi State (Bulldogs) this past fall, the school where the founder of ACE Tennis, Pierre Lamarche attended.

Notable accomplishments for Mikhailuk are:

  • All Canadian ITF G5 Junior Singles Champion (2017)

Oleksandra (Sasha) Gorchanyuk joined the ACE Tennis Team in the fall of 2016. After moving from Vancouver to Arizona, and then to Mississauga from the age of 12-15, Sasha struggled to find the consistency she had as an U12 where she was a Runner Up at both the U12 Canadian Nationals & the International Leblanc Cup, as well as a top 8 finisher at the prestigious Orange Bowl. After training under the guidance of Head Coach Mike Hall for the past 3 years, Sasha has had a breakout season this year getting the attention of many college coaches from top Division 1 schools in the NCAA. Coach Hall - “Sasha’s work ethic this year has been second to none and her results are a direct response to this. The mental and physical engagement during her practices have been a positive for her and the rest of the academy. It is not easy to turn things around when it’s not going your way, and I couldn’t be more proud of Sasha for the way she has handled the adversity throughout her journey. I hope I can use Sasha’s story and journey as an example to other students in the years to come.” Gorchanyuk recently signed with Kansas (Jayhawks) University currently ranked 13th in the Oracle ITA Division 1 rankings.
