4-H in the News

Southern Graces 4-H Club had such a fun and colorful meeting in May!  Der Holcomb, Family and Consumer Science Agent, taught the members how to arrange fresh flowers, and they were all so beautiful.  She showed them how to start with a base, add a focal point, then fill it in.  Everyone had a great time!

Whisk It Up 4-H Club held their May meeting on May 23rd.  The members made mini chicken quesadillas.  Members also signed Thank You cards for those who donated and purchased items for the cake auction fundraiser.  They had a great turn out for the auction!  The Whisk It Up 4-H Club will hold their next meeting on June 28th at 4:00 p.m. in the N.C. Cooperative Extension-Alexander County Center Demonstration Kitchen.  Submitted by Anna Beth Harris.
