Alexander Leigh Center for Autism (ALCA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit year-round Therapeutic Day School approved by the Illinois State Board of Education. The day school is for children 3-21 years old with autism spectrum disorder, OHI, multiple disabilities, developmental delay and/or intellectual disability. Our"Forever Home" is almost ready! The construction crew is on track to open the new school year in our fantastic new building, but we need help getting there. We are looking for individuals or groups who are able to help load, transport, and unload boxes, equipment, and furniture to get everything from the current location (620 S IL Route 31, Crystal Lake), to our new location at 4100 Veterans Parkway, McHenry. It's only 3.5 miles down the road, but we need manpower and vehicles to make this work.
Please consider donating your time and/or vehicles. We will have school administrative staff available every day from 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM, Monday, August 7th through Saturday, August 12th.
We are also still in need of moving supplies - boxes, tape, stretch wrap, moving blankets, packing materials, etc. If you have items you can donate, please drop them off at 4100 Veterans Parkway, McHenry anytime Monday-Friday from 8:00 - 3:00
