Last week, I had the pleasure of joining the Cascades Senior Center community for their Open House.
The Cascades Senior Center, located at 21060 Whitfield Place, is an incredible community resource for those 55 and over. The center provides abundant space for activities and events. They also offer classes and programs on a wide variety of topics that promote learning, growth, and social opportunities.

Yesterday morning, I was thrilled to join my colleagues, Chair Phyllis Randall and Dulles Supervisor Matt Letourneau, for a panel discussion with the Loudoun Chamber. During my remarks, I focused on the importance of addressing the childcare crisis, fully supporting our world-class public-school system, and bringing more attainable housing to Loudoun County. I look forward to collaborating with our business community as Vice Chair to support our workforce needs.

The Loudoun County International Festival is a county-wide Parks, Recreation & Community Services event organized and brought to our community by our collective centers – the Recreation, Community, and Senior Centers of Loudoun County. Our goal is to celebrate the diversity in our County and connect the people in our community by creating a beautiful cultural experience. Come explore with us! Let's come together to celebrate our diverse cultural communities!

Tax Deadline Next Week

Loudoun County Treasurer Henry C. Eickelberg reminds taxpayers that the deadline for payment of supplemental real estate and personal property taxes is Monday, February 5, 2024.
Payments can be made using electronic check (eCheck), VISA, MasterCard, American Express or Discover. Note that there is a convenience fee added to credit card transactions. There is no fee for eCheck.

Payments received or postmarked after February 5 will incur a 10% penalty and interest. Any such penalty, when assessed, will become part of the tax with interest accruing on both the tax and penalty at a rate of 10% annually. Personal property taxes remaining unpaid after 60 calendar days from the original due date will incur an additional 15% penalty. Taxpayers who are having financial difficulties should contact the Office of the Treasurer’s Collections Team at 703-771-5656 for assistance.
