In 2021, Algonquin College marked 10 years since the Algonquin Centre for Construction Excellence (ACCE) opened. Since ACCE opened, 17,400 students have graduated job-ready from its 24 degree, diploma and certificate programs. The construction industry donated $7.2 million dollars towards the $79 million cost. The Algonquin College Alumni & Friends Network is accepting nominations for the 2022 Alumni of Distinction Awards until Friday, March 11, 2022.

These annual awards honour the extraordinary contributions Algonquin College graduates make to the community while achieving career success.

Proposal for a Skilled Trades Scholarship Program
Algonquin College is seeking industry support of $50,000 a year for 5 years to establish a Skilled Trades Scholarship Program.

This new scholarship will take over from the Weston Foundation Skilled Trades program which concludes in 2022 after providing support to over 165 recipients.. The program would provide financial, academic, professional, and personal support to highly motivated students in 12 skilled trade diploma programs and 13 apprenticeship programs.
