All 500 of today’s slots of the Johnson and Johnson 1 dose vaccine for RCSD staff have been filled thanks to a partnership with Walgreen’s. Walgreens is providing a total of 800 vaccinations for RCSD employees today and Saturday, March 13. Appointments for Saturday, at the Jefferson Campus, 1 Edgerton Park, are filling fast and staff has already received information on how to sign up.
Superintendent Lesli Myers-Small said, “Getting our staff COVID vaccinations is a top priority. We have been working with local and state leaders to make sure that we secure as many appointments as possible for our staff members to get this much needed vaccine. Walgreens is a true community partner and they have stepped up to help those who serve our scholars.”
These sites are staffed by RCSD employees and representatives from Walgreens who are administering the vaccinations.
Due to health and HIPPA privacy issues, no footage will be allowed inside East High School. We ask that you respect the privacy of individuals who are receiving the vaccination and please do not attempt to interview employees. Thank you.
