It’s relatively simple to create, maintain and run email marketing campaigns with tools such as Constant Contact. But there are rules to follow to avoid getting your account shut down or even sued by “subscribers”.
Here’s a few of the Dos and Don’ts of effective email marketing:
Do use an email marketing service like Constant Contact. The price is well worth it and they make you more efficient in reaching your target audience.
Don’t spam. The email list that you send to are supposed to have given you permission to send to them.
Do provide an easy “unsubscribe” for recipients or honor unsubscribe requests quickly.
Do provide your physical address and/or contact information clearly placed on the bottom of the email. Constant Contact will place the “Unsubscribe” and address automatically in all their templates.
Don’t use deceptive Subject Lines in your emails. Use Subject Lines that encourage the recipient to open your email.
The CAN-SPAM Act is enforced by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). They, along with other enforcement agencies can seek civil penalties of up to $16,000 per violation.

Doral, Fla. — For people who live or work in the city of Doral and want to pursue an undergraduate or graduate degree in business, Millennia Atlantic University (MAU) is making it easier to start on – or return to – a path toward graduation.
“With the pandemic behind us, it’s time for people who put their education on hold to get back to pursuing their goals,” said MAU President Dr. Aristides Maza Duerto. “We are investing in people who are willing to invest in themselves, and have created this unique scholarship program in an effort to make our world-class business curriculum as accessible as possible to people in our community.”
According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, a college degree delivers a high return on investment, with the median annual wage for people with bachelor’s degrees in business more than $30,000 above the median annual wage for all occupations.
An ideal choice for working adults balancing classes with job and family responsibilities, MAU offers associate degrees in business administration and bachelor’s degrees in business administration and human resource management. A new major recently launched through the TBB Bank School of Entrepreneurship. Students can pursue master’s degrees in human resource management, business administration, business administration with a concentration in accounting, international business management, and international logistics management. Most graduate level classes are offered online, many in a format where students can log in remotely while participating with the instructor and fellow students in real-time.
“Our faculty members teach global business concepts from real-world experience,” explained Maza Duerto. “We also understand real-world challenges on a personal level, like juggling classes with work, and of course finances. These scholarships will provide students who seek the growth, skills, and knowledge necessary to face the challenges in today’s global marketplace with the opportunity to complete their degrees.”
The newly created scholarship for people who live or work in Doral is available for the upcoming semester, with classes starting January 9, 2023. It’s part of a comprehensive scholarship program at MAU, with both merit-based and need-based awards available.
Registration for the Spring 2023 semester is ongoing, and there is still time to secure aid.

We are looking for registered behavior technicians (RBTs) with experience, knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA), and a desire to work in a training environment for professional growth.
RBT Training
We are also looking for individuals who want a career path where you make a difference every day. New Way Day Services will train you to become an RBT, supervise you as required by the Behavior Analysis Certification Board (BACB), and guide you through your professional growth in the field of ABA. The RBT training includes all aspects of the BACB task list with a hands-on component to assist the RBT with the practical skills to provide services to our patients.
We are seeking BCaBAs and BCBAs who are looking for an agency where they can practice and continue growing within the ABA field, where they can contribute to the growth of our RBTs, and where they can collaborate with team members and administrators for the well-being of our patients.
New Way Day Services assures you are supervised according to the BACB guidelines. Our employees enjoy access to an array of resources that help with studying for the exams or even for classes in the field of ABA. We provide an environment of training and professional development for all providers within the agency. Those who qualify can access health care coverage, dental, vision, 401k, flexible spending account (FSA), and direct deposit.

Miami-Dade County Announces Additional Funds for Rental Assistance
Miami-Dade County (MDC) Emergency Rental Assistance Program 2.4 (ERAP 2.4) will now accept applications from MDC residents that are unable to pay an increase in rent. ERAP can help pay the difference between your current rent and the new rent for a period of 3 future months.
To qualify for assistance due to rent increase, ERAP requires that:
Household income must be below 80 percent of AMI for the MDC, Florida Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA). Individuals making less than $50,650, couples making less than $57,850, families of three earning less than $65,100, or families of four earning less than $72,300 qualify.
Provide a valid notice of rent increase from your landlord.
All other ERAP requirements must be met.
