Join us for this 2-day training on the Infant and Toddler Environment Rating Scale (ITERS-3). If you work with this age group, this training is designed for you and will introduce you to the ITERS-3. You’ll uncover where and when the scale is used and how it measures quality in your program. Activities will be provided that will help you become more familiar with the format and content of the ITERS-3. We will discuss how the scale requirements can be interpreted and scored and how procedures for completing observations can be conducted. Additionally, in-depth information will be shared about specific items of the scale, indicators and research findings.

Trainer Bio:Cathy Riley has an M.S. in Early Childhood Education and a B.S. in Business Administration. Cathy is co-author of the widely used All About the ECERS-3, All About ECERS-R and All About the ITERS-R books. She recently co-authored All About Preschoolers, an environment-based curriculum that emphasizes a comprehensive approach to child development. She has served as an Environmental Rating Scale (ERS) Reliability Anchor and data collector with federal and state research and evaluation projects using many early childhood assessment instruments and child outcome measurements. Cathy served as a coordinator, establishing systems for reliability for a statewide Quality Rating System, as well as training assessors throughout North Carolina on the ERS.
