Windsor Public Library Announcements

The Windsor Public Library and Wilson Branch are preparing for a major upgrade to our library catalog system this spring. Our library is part of the 40-plus–member LCI consortium, which shares a common catalog. All LCI libraries will be migrating to the new system together.

If you regularly search the catalog or place your own holds, you’ll notice a refreshed, easier-to-use interface starting in June. A new app will launch in June as part of the upgraded system.

As we transition from one system to another, there will be some downtime. From about May 16 through June 3, we will not be able to place holds on other libraries items for you. If you have further questions about this, please call the Windsor Public Library at 860-285-1910 or the Wilson Branch at 860-247-8960.

Dungeon Crawler Carl by Matt Dinniman

SO MUCH FUN! I'm not really a gamer, but following Carl and Princess Donut on this journey was a blast! Definitely NOT for kids.

Sunrise on the Reaping by Suzanne Collins

I loved reading about Haymitch. It was so sad to read about all the deaths of my favorite characters and it made me cry.

The Art Thief by Michael Finkel

The Art Thief is a gripping true crime book about Stephane Breitwieser, a man who stole hundreds of artworks from European museums while believing he was protecting them. Written like a thriller, it explores obsession, entitlement, and the fine line between living art and owning it. Disturbing and fast paced it leaves a lasting impressing about the real cost of obsession.

I, Medusa by Ayana Gray

5 Stars - Reads like YA but it does have adult themes. Medusa's villain origin story. Fun.

Isabella's Not Dead by Beth Morrey

Didn't know what to expect but ended up really liking this story of friendships, lost and found, with some mystery and humor mixed in. Those of us in late-middle age can definitely related. Will make you smile.

Heart the Lover by Lily King

A complicated and nuanced story of love that frustrated me but was an accurate representation of what love can look and feel like for some.

Framed by John Grisham

This is the book that John Grisham wrote with another author about people who were charged with crimes that they didn't commit and ended up behind bars. Also told how hard it was to get people off once a case had been built around them.

Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell

I have yet to read something by this author I haven't enjoyed! This was a nice, light read with just the right amount of drama.

Personal Librarian by Marie Benedict

A black woman poses as a white woman and goes to work for J.P. Morgan to curate his large collection of rare manuscripts and artwork for his library. A great read.
