To provide affordable, comprehensive, high-quality health care to the entire community. | | | Company Chow Time Kicks Off at Thomas Jefferson High School with All Care Health Center | | |
This school year, Thomas Jefferson High School launched its first Company Chow Time of the school year, welcoming All Care Health Center as the inaugural guest. During this lunch-and-learn event, ten students explored healthcare career pathways, asked thoughtful questions, and heard firsthand experiences from professionals in the field. Students shared their aspirations and engaged in lively discussions about the many ways healthcare careers can make a meaningful difference.
“Company Chow Time allowed high schoolers to see that as health care professionals, we were in similar positions not long ago. We had to make big decisions on what to do after high school, and all have unique journeys into the profession,” reflected Ellie Anderson, All Care’s school-based mobile medical provider. “I hope it makes us, and health care in general, feel more accessible to them. We want to support them not just in their health, but in their future goals as well.”
Company Chow Time highlights the ongoing partnership between All Care Health Center and the Council Bluffs Community School District, which brings mobile medical care directly to students at Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, Kanesville Learning Center, Wilson Middle School, Kirn Middle School, and Carter Lake Elementary. Mobile medical services include primary medical care, well-child visits, sports physicals, medication management, vaccinations, and sick visits.
In-school behavioral health services are available for students who are struggling in school with their mental health. Our behavioral health therapist says that kids are displaying anxiety, depression, trauma, large behaviors, and the need for social skill development.

Kay Stutzman, All Care’s school-based behavioral health therapist, emphasizes the importance of supporting students’ emotional well-being. “Helping kids overcome their mental health struggles is a passion of mine. I love building therapeutic relationships with the kids and watching their personalities shine as they learn skills to improve their mental health,” she shares. Through her work in schools, Kay provides students with the tools, guidance, and support they need to navigate challenges, build resilience, and thrive both academically and personally.
Scheduling care is easy. Appointments for mobile medical services can be made by calling (712) 309-1711 or by speaking with your school nurse. In-school behavioral health services are available in the Council Bluffs Community School District high schools, middle schools, and at the Kanesville Learning Center. Parents interested in behavioral health services for their child can connect with their school counselor to learn more.
By meeting students where they learn, this collaboration reduces barriers to care, ensures timely support, and helps students stay healthy and engaged.
All services are available regardless of insurance status, reflecting All Care’s commitment to every student.
| | Sharing Your Voice: Advocacy Alert | | |
Please help to protect access to quality, affordable healthcare.
Community Health Centers serve 34 million people nationwide, including 250,000 Iowans, and over 7,000 right here in our community, providing critical access to affordable healthcare in rural areas and other communities where access is limited. The 340B Rebate Pilot Program could strip away critical funding and patient access to affordable prescriptions unless Congress acts.
Your voice matters! Join us in protecting access to care for millions of patients. What we are encouraging is the exemption of Federally Qualified Health Centers from the 340B rebate model. If you believe this is an urgent matter, please send a message quickly and easily through VoterVoice today!
Thank you - in advance - for sharing your time to ensure access does not change for your community neighbors. You make a difference.

Care Today. Help Us Bring Hope to Andrew-
and Many Others
| | |
In this season of giving, think about Andrew. He had only meant to walk up from the encampment for a simple lunch, but before he reached his destination, his body could no longer keep up. Exhaustion overtook him and he collapsed—dehydrated, malnourished, and pushed far beyond what his fragile health could bear. All Care’s medical team was performing outreach that day and acted quickly, stabilizing him and calling for an ambulance. For many of our unhoused neighbors, even short distances carry enormous risk, and moments like this reveal just how thin the line can be between functioning and crisis.
A couple of days later, Dr. Hurst brought follow-up care directly to Andrew—in the encampment—examining him, monitoring his recovery, and offering the reassurance of a familiar voice in a place where safety is scarce. It was a quiet act of compassion, the kind that reminds us healing often begins where people are, not where we wish they could be.

Your generosity allows All Care Health Center to meet people where they are—without judgment, without barriers, and without delay. Thanks to supporters like you, our Homeless Healthcare Program provides medical care, mental health support, and addiction resources directly to those living outside, struggling with chronic illness, untreated wounds, or trauma.
This January, our work to help those experiencing homelessness will expand—alongside our community partners—to reach even more individuals in need. Every gift you make now will be matched dollar-for-dollar by the Rupert Dunklau Foundation, up to $20,000, doubling your impact. Your support fuels compassionate care delivered with dignity, hope, and respect.
Expand your holiday giving beyond the tree and into the lives of neighbors in need. Help to ensure that care is always within reach for our most vulnerable neighbors
