All eyes are on Louisiana and the Supreme Court this week!
On Wednesday
, the Supreme Court of the United States will hear oral arguments on our 2014 Unsafe Abortion Protection Act. I will be in the court to watch Solicitor General Liz Murrill defend this common-sense law before the nine justices. The outcome of this case, which will be handed down this summer, will have a massive impact both on Louisiana and the nation. Stay tuned on social media for our reaction!
- On Wednesday morning, watch our Facebook page for live feed of our rally outside the Supreme Court to support the law.
- Stand with us in New Orleans at 11 a.m. on Wednesday to put women before the profits of abortion facilities! Our office will be a back-up in case of inclement weather.
In other news, we are happy to announce that
Angie Thomas, J.D., has joined our staff as our Associate Director!
Previously, Angie has been the CEO of the Woman's New Life Clinic in New Orleans and Baton Rouge. Angie said, "I look forward to working with the Louisiana Right to Life team in building a pro-life Louisiana where abortion becomes unthinkable." Welcome, Angie!
