Youth Group Shoe Drive for Soles4Souls
|
|
Join All Saints’ youth groups by donating gently used shoes throughout the month of September.
All shoes will be brought to Soles4Soles where they will sort and send them to micro-enterprise programs in developing countries around the world. Soles4Souls programs, 4Opportunity, 4Relief, and 4EveryKid, aim to make a positive difference on the planet and in people's economic, educational, physical, and psychosocial well-being.
Since 2006, more than 83 million pairs of shoes and pieces of clothing have helped create opportunities for people across 129 countries.
If you don’t have any shoes to donate, monetary donations will be passed along to help Sole4Souls ship the shoes collected to their partners around the world, as well as help to fund their 4EveryKid program (where every $20 collected provides a new pair of shoes to a child experiencing homelessness in the United States).
Visit soles4souls.org for more information.

Confirmation, Reception, and Reaffirmation for Adults
|
In The Episcopal Church, Confirmation is the sacramental rite by which we make an adult affirmation of the promises and commitments made on our behalf as children. Often, it is our youth who take part in Confirmation. However, any adults who have not been confirmed may do so as well. Additionally, if you have been confirmed, and wish to be received into The Episcopal Church, you may do so as part of the Confirmation process. And if for any reason you wish to now reaffirm your faith, you can take part as well.
Our Youth Confirmation Class of '23-'24 will soon begin preparation for the sacramental rite of Confirmation in May of next year. Any adults who wish to be confirmed, received or reaffirmed will begin adult classes soon.
If you are interested or have questions, contact Father Mark at mark@allsaintsglenrock.org and put 'Adult Confirmation' in the subject line. All are welcome to inquire!

'A Cup of Cold Water' Maui Wildfire Disaster Response
|
All Saints' raised over $700 for the Hawai’i Fire Response through The Episcopal Diocese of Hawai’i A Cup of Cold Water Care-Van Ministry
Thank you All Saints'! Our donation raffle at the Kick-Off Sunday Picnic raised over $700 for A Cup of Cold Water in support of the fire relief efforts on the Island of Maui and in honor of our former Diocese of Newark colleague The Rev. George C. Wong, Priest-in-Charge of St. John’s Episcopal Church, Kula, HI on Maui. A Cup of Cold Water (ACCW) is a community Care-Van outreach program on the Island of Maui, formed by a group of committed Episcopalians and they are on the front lines of the Maui fire disaster. ACCW is a food and clothing distribution service for the poor and needy in the community, and uses the care-van to deliver essential food, hygiene and clothing items throughout the island.

Sign Up to Host a Sunday
Fellowship is one of the many things All Saints' does with passion and coffee hour is "our time" after the service to reconnect with our church family, talk with Father Mark, sit in on special programs ... and enjoy yummy treats and coffee! Now is the time to fill out our Coffee Hour Host schedule. Or go in with a friend and co-host! Look for the sign-up sheet downstairs in Parish Hall!
The Fellowship Ministry consists of parishioners who enjoy helping our church community come together. We're hoping to expand our list of Coffee Hour Hosts. You can choose a Sunday that works for you, or we can assign you where there is a need. Click here to email Christine in the church office if you would like more information about coffee hour and/or joining the Fellowship Ministry.

All Saints' is a local drop off for St. Paul's Food Pantry in Paterson.
Drop off donations at church at the Sunday services or any day – follow the signs in the parking lot to the drop off bin at the All Saints’ Chapel building. Our volunteers bring food to the pantry weekly.
Most-needed items: loaves of sliced bread, canned beans / vegetables / fruits / soups, canned chicken / fish / meat, cooking oils, crackers, dried herbs and spices, dried fruits, diapers / wipes, toiletries.
