Dear Friends
All Saints’ has a long-standing tradition of retreating to Camp Kanuga for over 40 years, and this year was one for the books! From corn mazes and night hikes to a Polar Bear Plunge, s’mores, and more, it was a weekend packed with fun for all ages.
With a wide variety of offerings throughout the weekend, including pickleball, mountain biking, sound baths, and jazz concerts, there was truly something for everyone at Kanuga. The highlight for me was Sunday’s worship service in the beautiful on-campus chapel. The stunning setting, paired with the All Saints’ Jazz Band, made for an incredibly moving experience. We hope to see you at Kanuga next year!
SNL Y'all Saints' Update 10/12
We will meet outside the front steps of the church after the 11:15 service to join All Saints’ in the Atlanta Pride Parade. Louisa Merchant will be joining the youth as we march. We’ll walk in the parade until around 2:15 PM. At that time, wherever we are in the parade, we’ll exit, text parents, and head back to All Saints’. My number is 470-590-3471. I’ll create a group chat with all the parents of the youth attending the parade, which we’ll use for updates and to share our location throughout the day. Pick-up will be back at All Saints'.
After formation in the attic we'll make sandwiches to take with us. I have drawstring bags for everyone to carry lunch, water bottles, and anything else they'd like to bring or pick up along the parade. You will also get an All Saints' T-shirt that says "God takes pride in you." If you look below you can see the new shirts displayed on our fabulous model!
Peace,
Luke

Youth News
High School Bible Study Begins Wednesday, November 12th
Y'all Saints' Bible Study, November 12th, from 6:00–7:30 PM. If you're in high school, come join us for a relaxed, meaningful space to explore your faith. We might read scripture, watch a movie, and more as a way to dive into our faith. We will uncover the themes and messages together, all while building community. This group is a quieter, more reflective alternative to Sunday night programming. If you're looking to go a little deeper in your faith journey, this is for you!
Pet Blessing at New Realm Brewery, October 18, 11 am to 1 pm
We are joining our partners at VCA Pets are People Too (a local vet), Lifeline Animal Project (pet adoption), and New Realm Brewery to celebrate God’s creation with our neighbors on the beltline. Bring your family, friends, and pets, and enjoy a great lunch on the patio.

To help build stronger connections and make this year meaningful for our youth, I’ve put together a Sign-Up Genius and a Google Doc with a variety of ways you can get involved in youth ministry. The Google Doc lists all the volunteer roles—please check the boxes for anything you're comfortable signing up for. The Sign-Up Genius includes specific dates and time slots for each opportunity.
Whether you’re a seasoned volunteer or looking to jump in for the first time, there’s something for everyone:

Volunteer Roles Available:
- Provide Dinner for Sunday Night Youth Group (SNL & Y'all Saints'): Help feed our hungry youth by cooking, ordering, or bringing dinner. Fan favorites include Moe’s and Papa John’s Pizza—always a hit! Please note you do not have to bring a separate dinner for SNL and Y'all Saints, because we all eat together!
- Sunday Formation Teacher: Join a team of volunteers to lead Sunday morning formation. Don’t worry—you won’t be doing it alone. We’re building a team-based structure to make it collaborative and low-pressure, even for first-time teachers.
- Sunday Greeters (Morning and Evening): A warm hello makes all the difference. Greeters help our youth feel seen and welcomed as they arrive for programming.
- Drivers & Chaperones for Local Outings: Occasionally, we’ll head off-site for events like bowling, laser tag, Braves games, or other local activities. We’re looking for adults willing to drive and actively participate—whether that means scoring strikes or just being a supportive presence.
- Retreat Drivers & Chaperones: If you’re able to spend a weekend away, we’d love to have you join us as a chaperone or driver. It’s a chance to connect deeply with our youth and experience God’s presence in new ways.
- Home Gathering Hosts: We’re looking for hosts willing to open their homes for small-group gatherings, game nights, or seasonal celebrations. You choose what you’re comfortable hosting.
- Letter Writing: Help send notes and flyers to members in our community
We’re looking forward to an amazing year together, and I’m so grateful for your time, support, and energy as we continue building a meaningful youth community!

Even if you don't work with Children or Youth, you are encouraged to get trained - the more we know, the safer our kids are.

Parenting with God
Sept. 14, 10:30-11:10
Ross Rm, 3rd fl. Ellis Hall
Join other parents and grandparents as we lean into our role as Faith Formation storytellers for our children. The church walks beside you in this role, but what does it mean for you? We will talk about how to intentionally share our own stories of faith with our children and how to listen and wonder with them about how the Holy Spirit is working within them. We will witness and learn to be witnessed to, to bless and to be blessed - by our children and each other along this amazing, confounding, lovely, crazy journey.
The theme of Storytelling will guide us this year. I'm including a few articles to get you into the mood and to see the importance of telling our stories. We will also walk through Josh Scott's Parables - Putting Jesus' Stories in Their Place. It is a short, great book for discussion and a good one to have in your library if you feel moved to purchase it.

“What we hunger for perhaps more than anything else is to be known in our full humanness, and yet that is often just what we also fear more than anything else. It is important to tell at least from time to time the secret of who we truly and fully are . . . because otherwise we run the risk of losin
