Dear Friends

This week, I had the opportunity to attend a youth minister networking lunch hosted by the Diocese, and it was a wonderful experience. The focus of the lunch was to explore what leadership looks like within our church. When you think of a leader, who comes to mind? Did you think of yourself?

If not, that’s okay—many people don’t immediately see themselves as leaders. We often think, "That’s not for me," or "Someone else will handle it." But this mindset can limit us and prevent us from reaching our full potential. Leadership is for all of us—after all, many hands make light work.

God calls each of us to lead, regardless of age, experience, or position. Jesus was leading elders in the temple as a child. Leadership has no limits. It is not limited to a select few but is a calling for all who are willing to serve. When we step into leadership, we answer God's call to guide, support, and inspire others. Each of us has the capacity to lead, and if leadership is a practice, then anyone can engage in it. Some may be more effective than others, but everyone has the ability to lead—and everyone can improve. This inclusive approach to leadership not only empowers us but also uplifts those around us, giving purpose to our work.

This Sunday, we are blessed to have youth leading the 9:00 AM service. Come and witness how our youth lead with inclusion, love, and purpose.

Youth Events

Youth Sunday is coming 1/26, and we want YOU to be a part of it! This special service will take place on January 26th at 9 am, and it’s an exciting opportunity for you to take on a leadership role in our community. The first youth vestry will be commissioned, and it’s a great chance to support your peers and our community.

Youth Sunday is an opportunity to showcase our youth’s energy, passion, and ministry as you take on roles that are essential to the service’s success. There are many ways you can participate, and we want everyone to have a chance to be involved. Whether you’d like to read scripture, assist with communion, carry the elements (bread and wine), read a line in the Prayers of the People, or serve as an usher, we have a spot for you! Your participation will help lead the service and create an inspiring experience for everyone.

No matter what grade or age you are, you’re a minister, and this is our chance to show the church what we can do. Your presence matters, and we believe Youth Sunday wouldn’t be the same without you. Each of you has something special to offer, and we’re excited to see you step up as leaders in our community. Let’s make this Youth Sunday unforgettable!
