Dear Friends,

Happy Fall ya'll! During our recent brunch, Andy led us in a simplified version of the Ignatian Examen, which comes from St. Ignatius and has been practiced by Jesuit monastic communities for many centuries. This practice, simply, can be done by asking ourselves three questions: What has been life-giving? What has been life-taking? What is one step God might be leading you to take to draw closer to God and others?

I wonder if you all might take a moment today to reflect on the past week in relation to these questions. I know for me, the time spent with all of you, especially my time bonding with folks at Kanuga has been extremely life-giving. I believe God is leading me to slow down, and engage in more moments of reflection, as to dwell on the life-giving and not life-taking moments of each week as I sometimes do. If you see me around, please do ask what has been life-taking for me, and I in return might ask you the same.

Well wishes,

Tasia Blair
